Outstanding. Glad you guys saw how consistently well this one did in polls while coming up just short and decided to just do it. Great movie, and the one that saved RDJ’s career. Without this, I’m not sure we ever see him in Iron Man since he was still pretty untouchable before KKBB.

Recommended this a few times in the past and super glad you’ll have fun with it. Downey Jr has said this is probably his best work he’s been apart of. It’s unlike a lot of his other characters and you can see why he helped Shane Black get Iron Man 3, given how the witticisms in his dialogue naturally fit Tony Stark.

Yes! So glad you got to watch this, I don't think it was ever going to win a poll

So I was watching this thing from Movie bloggers and amazing people but George (yep his name is George) dissing English and math and mispronouncing Cannes was a definite highlight. Simone was tolerant of his behavior as usual.

Oh look! second place from the Super Trooper poll where a bunch of people cried foul cause this didnt win so there for it must mean it would never be watched! which im guessing next Thursday will be Lost in Translation for all the people that lost their shit cause Blair Witch Won and Lost, lost.

Yes! One of my top 5 movies ever and what I consider the funniest RDJ movie ever made. The jokes come so fast that it makes laugh even after dozens of viewings. “Who taught you math?”

They said earlier this week that Lost in Translation is coming up sometime next week, though the way George phrased it I would imagine it'd be Sunday and not Thursday (as in, not this coming Sunday, but the following one). But either way, yeah. G&S pretty much always notice when a movie does consistently well in polls but can't get over the hump and put it into the rotation.

Happy Hanukkah

Why would I ever *want* to stop thinking about Stephen Merchant? "Everyone's kissing everyone." Ditto for banging? "You wanna watch?" I notice Simone did not answer in the affirmative.

Throwing out another movie as a random recommendation, because I'm re-watching y'all's reaction to Die Hard right now: Breaking Away, one of the greatest coming of age movies ever made (in this instance, "coming of age" doesn't mean kids; it's about post-high school friends essentially trying to figure out what comes next, and that's all I'll say), and an Oscar winner for its screenplay (in addition to being a Best Picture nominee). Die Hard made me think of it because the actor who plays Ellis, Hart Bochner, was in that as well. One of my all-time favorite movies. It's brilliantly written, brilliantly acted, and is just a really great feel-good movie.

If you want another movie with a similar vibe, genius writing, dark comedy, surprising twists and turns and a stellar casty then look no further: Lucky Number Slevin 😉

You two are too much! You’re killing the Breaking Bads…you drop YT edits for S2 of Ted Lasso; slip in this made-for-Cinebinge gem. Tomorrow, we get to see George tortured; and then…circling back on LIT for good measure! Well done!!

One of the funniest movies and best whodunnits ever

I must have been one of the few people to actually see this in the theater when it first came out. I loved it from the beginning, but apparently nobody else even heard of it.
