You guys asked if Will Ferrell was in any serious roles and people mentioned Stranger Than Fiction. I wonder if this movie counts as well? I think his acting is really good here, it certainly made me tear up.

Lego Batman and the sequel are great, Ninjago is skipable imo (but I know it has fans). As for DC rights, any use of a DC character has to be approved by DC comics. That includes casting, plot and everything. I know that the CW shows (Flash, Arrow, etc) were regularly told they couldn’t use certain characters even if they were doing a comic specific storyline that involved said characters. My personal favorite DC bts story ever came from the showrunners of the Harley Quinn animated show. They wrote a sex scene between Batman/Catwoman and they were told that Batman could not “go down” on Catwoman “Heroes don’t do that”. BTW (just my opinion). "Lego Movie" seems like a small sister of "Everything Everywhere All at Once". Somebody really special because he\she is so unspecial. Travelling thru odd universes. Father-Mother\Daughter-Son dynamic which is resolved by an accepting each other and not by the physical victory. The difference is Lego is unfolding the story step by step using limited amount of very detailed universes while Everything is happening Everywhere and at Once.
