Hello everyone!

First of all, I wanna thank all of you for your support and your feedback. I am beyond happy with the response so far and your bug reports and suggestions have been extremely helpful!

Today, I am giving you a patch with new features and bug fixes.

FEATURES & CHANGES:

- A small ray now appears from your hand when pointing at interactable objects. This can be turned off in the settings.
- Next and previous item buttons have been swapped to feel more natural.
- Leaving an axe or a weapon inside a tree/enemy hitbox when the cooldown is done will now trigger another hit.
- Axes and weapons cooldown are now displayed as a white circle above your hand.
- Slightly increased the detection range when eating with your hand.
- Turning and item switching inputs no longer overlap if they're both bound to the joystick on SteamVR.

BUG FIXES:

- Buttons on your controllers now work when trying to wake up from a revive.
- The sword no longer plays a sound when touching obstacles.
- Third person can no longer be activated as it wasn't working and is useless anyway.
- Vive controller binds are no longer corrupted (so sorry about that).
- Button hints that involve joysticks are now showing up correctly on Index controllers.
- Crouching now works correctly on multiplayer. A single player can no longer crouch for everyone. (No more crouch god)
- The rotate button is now correctly set to L Grip on Oculus Runtime.
- Picking up a dead player no longer teleports the camera to a high point in multiplayer.
- [SPOILER!!!!!!!!] The machete and sword can now break tape blocking doorways.

HOW TO UPDATE:

1. Download the mod at the bottom of this post.
2. Replace the mod located in the mods folder.
3. Open the game once for the new patch to apply and close it.
4. Open the game again to play in VR.

HOW TO INSTALL FOR THE FIRST TIME:

1. Disable game theatre in the game's properties. Right click Raft in your Steam library and click "Properties...". In the "General" tab, uncheck "Use Game Theatre while SteamVR is active".

2. Download and install the Raft Mod Loader: https://www.raftmodding.com/download

3. Select your Raft installation directory in the mod loader settings.

4. Press "Play" in the mod loader to make sure it's working correctly. You should see the mod menu appear when reaching the main menu. If you're having trouble with the mod loader, you can ask for help in the Raft Modding Discord server: https://www.raftmodding.com/discord

5. Install the Extra Settings API mod: https://www.raftmodding.com/mods/extra-settings-api
Press ''Install Mod'' to let the mod loader automatically install it for you. If that doesn't work, press ''Download this mod'' instead and drag the mod file into your mods folder which you can open using the mod loader.

6. Download the RaftVR mod located at the bottom of this post and drag it into your mods folder.

7. Press "Play" in the mod loader to open the game modded.

8. In the mod menu, load ExtraSettingsAPI by clicking the plug button. The status should change to "Running...".

9. Make ExtraSettingsAPI load on startup like so:

10. Close the mod menu. You should see a dialog for RaftVR open.

11. Choose the options that you prefer in the dialog box, then close the game when you're done.

12. Put on your headset and open the Oculus App or SteamVR depending on the runtime you chose.

13. Press "Play" in the mod loader. Once you reach the main menu, the game should appear in VR shortly after.

14. You should see a prompt telling you to do a T-pose and press both triggers. Just move to the center of your playspace and face your desired forward direction. Lift both your arms in a T-pose and press both triggers at the same time.

At this point, you're ready to go!

Hope you like the changes and keep posting feedback!

is there a way to reset the dialog in step 10?

DrBibop

You can change any choice you've made with the dialog by going into the settings in the "Mods" tab. Changing the VR Runtime is a different story. The config file for the runtime setting is currently located in %appdata%\RaftVR. Open vrruntime.txt and write either "oculus" or "steamvr" then save. This file will instead be located in the game directory in the next update.
