Hi!
Today my dad has its birthday so i will be out partying! 🥳
Yesterday i continued woking on the next release, now there are 6 "events" done,
still missing or not done are the "free events" and a million small things that annoy me,
after i get home from the birthday i will most certenly continue working on that, my goal is to get at least one thing done today!
But i also want to show you how i do Landscapes,
You can see in the video above the MainLandscape of Frost,
It is very much WiP and will evolve with the releases.
Let my show you:
This is the generated landscape from above
In the generator graph it is quite simple, i take a few noises and a Layer overview wich is basically just Masks you can paint in to differentiate between different noises.
This way you can create valeys and mountains,
This is the curvature from above, those maps always look cool i think ^^
This is the Normal map i use for the terrain in some places.
And lastly the shader...
The shader is a bit more complex, it allows for painting in where paths are and houses are standing so snow does not build up there :3
