This story has some nice moments - but the episode itself looks cheap. The planet set appears to have been left over from TOS; complete with the red backlighting. (Even The Last Outpost made more of an effort in that regard.) The concept (getting your hearts desire) works well,though.

I have to say Picard and Dr. Crusher are my favorites. When this first came out, we didn't have that many strong female characters. That's why I love characters like her and Jessica Fletcher from murder, she wrote.

Of the main crew, Picard and Beverly are my favorites as well. They are both wonderful characters, as is Jessica Fletcher. God was our dear Angela so marvelous in Murder, She Wrote.
