My own favourite of Douglas' writing is Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. The first time that I heard his work was on the original double record version - I hadn't heard it on radio - in a little SF bookshop in Ipswich. I was at college at the time and I would drop by and browse during dinner break. I asked what it was and tracked down the album immediately. Very enjoyable. My favourite episode of Fawlty Towers is The Hotel Inspector. "Baseel?? Baseel??" calls Manuel to his pet rat, and Polly's desperate "The chef calls the ratatouille 'Basil' . . . . . . because he puts a lot of basil in it!!"

Love Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I’ve read the book several times. I love the BBC miniseries starring Simon Jones as Arthur. Need to rewatch that and Fawlty Towers again.

Oh come now Communication Problems is an absolute classic. It might be my favourite episode although it might be Kipper and the Corpse. Glad you enjoyed this story Duggan, in my opinion, is one of the best one off characters in Doctor Who history and this is a top top story.
