I think dongeun posted abt the abuse she faced from the homeroom teacher which is why she told the son that “I know you’re innocent but so was I” because she knows this will affect the son becoming a teacher & his reputation. which is also why he killed his father (at least from my understanding) to protect his reputation

It was the information Dong-eun used to get the chief to get her as a teacher in the school. As for the thing Dong-eun told the son to turn against his dad like that was that she was going to post online about the abuse and negligence his father committed when he was a vice-principal. And since the son was also becoming something school-related and a very high position at that, that made him scared because you know how in Korea reputation is everything, not only your own but also your family's reputation.

I understand the confusion. The show doesn't spend enough time breaking down who's who in past or the present. I watched it with a friend and we were both so lost for so long. 😂 Also, fun fact about tooth brushing culture in Korea. Koreans tend to brush their teeth ALOT more often during the day than we Americans do. There's a YouTube short that was made on it recently by @jklovett, but basically because of all the fermented and garlicky foods present in the Korean diet, they are more conscious of keeping their breath clean. I, as a female exchange student back in 2019, noticed lots of women brushing their teeth more in the university bathrooms than in public bathroom. I was always curious why I saw this more in Korea than anywhere else, but yeah, it's cause of the food.
