Since I've kinda finished off the week today, and I've got time, I'm gonna go ahead and post tonight instead of tomorrow morning!


I spent a lot more time this week working on animations, and those continue to come along.  For the specific characters I'm working on, I might not need all the animations that I do for the other characters.  The ogre for sure will usually be a boss type encounter, and he's not gonna take the time to look for you, and then call your location out.    He will however need a larger variety of attacks, so I'm probably gonna make up what I lose there.

I do think the minotaur will end up needing the usual bunch of animations.

Then there's the guy seen above, who's also gonna need animations work soon.   

So while animation work is slow, it does mean there's new characters to interact with and I hope that's exciting!


I mentioned that I wasn't sure if January was doable for the next build, and I think I am going to need a few more weeks, so I'm planning the next build in February.  I want to include an updated tutorial level with at least some sort of dialogue, that is developed enough to teach the player all the basic mechanics. I also want the new build to have encounters with the minotaur and ogre enemies as well.


I'm gonna focus first on getting that build out, and then I think I'll take a moment to set up a trello, or some tool to show my timeline and goals for the year

Always excited for more character animations. Also can't wait for you to start building out the levels again. The last few additions have been really cool.
