This is a quick build just to test a combat mechanic I had in mind.

If you want to download it and try it out (I know the file is big but that's just how unreal does it)  Please let me know your thoughts!

Holding down right click will slow time down.  With this you have time to choose between attacks and attack targets.

While time is slowed, the teleport will act like a dodge, teleporting Meridiana a short distance in whatever direction you are trying to move her.

Hitting 1-4 will choose between the different spells.  This test doesn't have the Tentacle Trap, but then there is no time to use it anyways!

Once the game starts you will immediately be spotted by a lot of goblins, so be ready to go!

Its just a test so its really early, and not super polished!

I'm not wild about making the slow time feature something bound to the right click. It means that a majority of the game is going to be played in 'bullet time' and as such any kind of pacing is going to be pretty much ruined.

it means the combat sequences would be, yes. Which is why its something I want to test.

The use of the slow time it awesome in the regards it allows 'me' to que actions up. I.E I can fire at an off distance enemy and the follow it up with a blast back. It does make you more powerful. However, I due feel it makes the time stop ability useless, as you can easily rely on the time slow (Unless theres a use for that spell that I haven't found).

I agree the slow on right click does nullify the time stop spell. I think the system works great. I had one glitch occur when standing on the curved wall the character 'jumped' around a bit, like 'falling-ish' when I hit the slow while standing and moving. I like the stealth aspect of this game.

This game is surprisingly fun to play. I have spent a good 20 or so hours on it already. Great game play, exquisite animations, awesome models, even the death animations are amusing. 3 thumbs up, 12/10 and all that good stuff.

0f course could have a bit more tabed targeting or better aoe attacks but if you want her power not to be to overwhelming, i would lock the aoe or super attacks behind a charge up or resource management system . Also if we are ever going to fight that many some better crowd control abilities and defenses can be crucial(Shields, Stuns, sleep or a mass seduce spell).
