Had another busy week, and got a fair amount of stuff done.

The mutant fish man monster I've been working on is basically done.  I'd like to do some clothes for him, but otherwise he's ready for the next steps.

The colors and some of the surface details aren't complete here, as those will be finalized when he's textured in substance painter.

There will also be a fully mutated version that will be a little different, but I'll let him be a surprise.

I looked at reworking the way Meridiana's clothes get damaged.  I kinda want the damage to only be in response to certain types of damage, like fire or acid, or if she's hit with an explosion.  Setting all of that up will require a bit of adjustment to things, so in the meantime I've increased the amount of required damage so that it doesn't happen so fast.

As you can see in the above video, I've spent a little time revisiting random level generation.  The way I had it set up before caused some issues, as landscapes don't work well for that type of generation.  Since I'm doing some more dungeon type areas, I'm looking into a more rooms layout.

I also did some prototyping on more user friendly puzzles.  I want to do some fun stuff, but not confuse people as much as my current puzzles do.

I'm going to be taking next week off (mostly I've got some stuff I WANT to do), so I won't be updating again until the New Year.

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas, or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate!

Level Generation Test

Test of generating a level randomly, based on a set of prebuilt "rooms". The biggest issue I'm having is how to keep the level from curling over itself. Right now I've got it set so the main path cannot turn in the same direction twice, and this mostly works, but given a long enough level, it can eventually turn back into itself. I'm trying to figure out some sort of grid system, but I'm making the room a non-standard size, so I'm not sure if that'll work either.
