December 5th Weekly Update (Patreon)

Had a pretty busy week, but got a LOT done with it.  Except the model I was trying to get done.... :\

Like always I try to get some random prop built.  This week I also looked at trying to repaint the textures on some purchased assets, to make them better fit the aesthetic I'm going for.  
I had mixed luck.   

I had tried generating maps in substance painter with the low poly and an existing normal map that export with the assets, but the bakes don't look particularly great.

If someone knows a good way to rebake maps for an object with only the low poly and the normal map, please let me know.

I was able to grab some really useful stuff at the Unreal Engine 4 asset store sale, including a spider model that I really liked.  

Since this spider is not a sexy spider, I didn't feel a need to create my own model.  The one I found was created by Estrele Indaz

It took a couple days to get everything implemented, but the spider is up and running.  I have a few tricks I still want to work on with the spiders, but I might keep those as a surprise!

I did find some time to make sure and work on another animation for the bathing sequence. (Can't show it publicly as its not appropriate!)  Now that I've got a really nice way to easily include decals on skeletal meshes, Meridiana will need to be cleaning herself up!

I really want to keep up this pace, so I'm really gonna push these next couple weeks before the holiday! (When I usually take a week off )
