This week was a busy and productive week (even with the attempted coup)!

I'll start with what I did that's in the video above. I know it looks a little familar, but its got some big upgrades vs the last time I showed this off. I really nice lighting plugin called Ultra Dynamic Sky had some updates that work really well with the latest version of Unreal (4.26).  This update involved dynamic weather.   I was able to plug all this into what I was currently doing, and change the weather as part of my spells now.

It also has some great material functions to help make the environment more affected by the different weather.   So things get wet in rain or covered in snow.  I had to modify them a bit, but I was able to get them working with props and objects in my world, and now I can simulate temperature to melt snow or dry off wet objects.  I'm not looking to build some super sim, so it'll be kinda simple, but it should make for some fun interactions.

But I know you guys don't just want game stuff, so I did focus on some stuff with the new character.
I wanted her to have SOME clothes while I work out the animations(something more complicated down the line) so I quickly put together a simple sundress for her.   I ended up learning a lot about cloth physics that I need to go back and apply to other characters, so it ended up being very worth while.

I also started on some animations with her as well!

I've got some plans for these two to be antagonistic towards each other, and end up getting Meridiana caught up in their feud.

In some gameplay adjustments, I thought of how to get the sex scene zooming down with a controller, so now you can zoom in and out with the mouse or a controller.

Related to Meridiana's charm, I did speed some stuff up a bit, to make it a little faster.

And to try to make the self love charge mechanic more useful, it will now reduce the stress from casting spells faster.  The stress built up from spell casting will now be a little slower to reduce on its own, but outside of combat shouldn't build up too fast.  I want to balance it so that its useful in a fight, but not something you need to be doing all the time, so I'll probably continue to make adjustments to recharge speeds and such.

This week crossed a number of things off my to do list, and was invigorating given how slow things went for a while.  So I'm excited.

Hope everyone stays safe, and have a wonderful week!

Weather System Integration

I've been able to improve the look of the storm calling spell by integrating it with the terrific (especially after 4.26) Ultra Dynamic Sky. It makes a better transition, and adding UDS' functions for weather to my existing materials (with a little tweaking) solved a lot of problems. I was also able to make my current material temperature interactions work with Ultra Dynamic Sky as well. As shown in the video that heat sources can melt snow and ice on objects in the world. I'd eventually love to extend that heat effect to static meshes and landscapes in range as well, but that might take a while to get working. Lastly, you can see a bit of a new demon character I finished rigging. She'll be fun! https://www.patreon.com/Mithos56 (NSFW)
