This weeks progress is (believe it or not) directly related to what I was working on last week.

I got a some feedback that the way you charm enemies (rapidly tapping E) was pretty uncomfortable to do.  I actually kind of agree.

The idea behind it was like a battle of wills between Meridiana and the monster, but I never felt like it played out that way.  It also felt rather easy that any enemy you came upon could be charmed quickly and easily with little planning.

I've adjusted it slightly.  In order to charm enemies you must now do something to calm them down, so that they don't immediately attack you.

Once you've calmed them, they will have a longer reaction time before they notice you, and call on their buddies to attack.  Its during this time (currently its like 45 seconds but I'll likely reduce it) that you can charm them, and get them to follow you around.

You can see in the example above the enemy moves through a cloud of groovy feelings and good times, and when he comes out, he's calmed a bit, making him easy to charm.

I'll go into details later about how you can calm enemies down, but this was the first step, and the most difficult part, so I wanted to get it done.

I may also make the actual charm look more cinematic, let me know if you think that's a good idea( or if it would get old fast)

New Charm

The animations aren't all done, but this is the new charm. Instead of just sneaking up on the enemy, you need to do something to calm them down and make them less likely to attack you. Once you do that, you can charm them. It still needs some sound effects and final animations, at but this point it works properly. https://www.patreon.com/Mithos56 (NSFW)

What is the cooldown of the ability?

Mithos56

Right now it has none, as the hard part is getting the enemies in the right mood to be charmed.
