This week I finished doing one of the trainings that I recently got, and finished updating the Sorceress Tales Project to Unreal Engine 4.25.

I finished a training on building environments this week, and it had a lot of good information, as well as a lot of so/so stuff.  I'm not sure its the best training, or was worth the cost, so I'm hesitant to recommend it.  I did pick up a few things from it, and I'll be experimenting with implementing those things in the near future.

I was also able to completely upgrade the project to Unreal Engine version 4.25, and fix all the parts that had previously broken.  This required rewriting a few particle systems, but it ended up being a good exercise, and I learned a bit doing it.

I also took a little time to start putting together animations that I've had on a list for a while.  These will mostly let me implement new spell types, and give the enemies more movement.

I also added in a screen effect to let you know when Meridiana is getting too overworked.

Meridiana uses sorcery (hence the Sorceress), and while this magic is powerful, it puts considerable strain on her, this is measured in the green bar that fills up as you use magic spells.  Once filled she is weaked for a moment and needs to recover before she can do much of anything.

This seems to sneak up on even me, so as Meridiana begins to use a lot of magic, a screen effect will slowly fade in to let the player know she's getting too worked up.

I hope to add some additional effects down the line.

I'll try to use some of next week to do something a little more fun for you guys!
I appreciate all the support, and I hope you all stay safe!
