This week I worked on few things that I had been wanting to catch up on.

The succubus will act as the player's guide through the tutorial level, and I've given her a kinda joke costume to use during that process.  I was able to get that costume MOSTLY rigged.  I'm still having a little trouble with a collar, though.
Even with the clothing I don't want to risk posting something inappropriate publically but I think I can get away with pants!




I also started working on a new creature of sorts.  I hope to take more time to rough out creatures so I've always got something readyish to go in.
Don't want to spoil too much but:



I was unable to renew my license on the motion capture software I was using earlier this year.  I found a new piece of software that is much less expensive, and seems to be more feature complete.  We'll see how well the IK works, but otherwise it seems to be promising.  I'll keep you updated!

Also added a potion, this one heals, but I guess they can do anything I want a potion to do.
This also helped me catch a bug with gaining life, so that's good as well!


I also read an article talking mostly about Red Dead Redemption 2, but it was also talking about errors in design.  It was an interesting read, and its got me to reconsider and take a double look at some things.  For example, when you pick up items, I've removed the animation to make things faster.
I'll be keeping an eye out for places where I'm wasting people's time, or being overly complex for no reason.

The covers most of what I was able to get done, I'm gonna focus on the next section of the tutorial and some animation work this coming week, I think!
