So now that I've got a level(even if its a SUPER basic one), and a proper menu for the spells, things are starting to feel(to me at least) like a game.

I'd like to know your thoughts.  I know the level has some pretty huge gaps, and there really isn't any exciting platforming, or strategic sneaking here, but are things starting to feel alright?

One thing I'm thinking I am gonna change, is the way the weapons detect hits.  Right now, its very much based on the actual hitbox of the weapon.  This ends up feeling a bit off sometimes.  So I think I'm going to be adjusting it to be more of a simple, distance check.

I think that will generally make the combat stuff a little more snappy, as the hit detection is all done in one frame, and a little more forgiving.

Lemme know how it feels to you.  I know the main focus in magic, but no reason to have the weapons if they feel like garbage to use.

So here're my thoughts and findings as I test this, so I don't forget anything - teleport spell is broken, and doesn't show a teleport "orb" for 95% of the time, and usually flickers in and out when moving the camera around - many holes in map, but this is to be expected as you yourself have said you haven't worked on the seams, it's just I didn't expect them to be THAT massive of a gap between segments - I was able to easily parkour ontop of the level boundaries, this can be problematic since the level is only visible from one side, viewed from the opposite side you can xray, and I assume that could be a problem once everything starts to get real polished - found green wall, when I parkoured onto the mountains I found an enemy who had spawned behind said green wall - night is too dark - light bomb creates no light, sadface - also, I was getting lower than normal fps for a fair amount of time, especially during sex animations/scenes, which'd be <30 fps

I just went and added lights to the light bomb. What an oversight!!

Mystery

Runs smooth... spell wheel is good.... add some foliage and a story line and you will have a game in no time. Have you started to design land tiles or pre-built structures?
