I've got all the animations in place for the ledge climb, and implemented the stealth/crouch state. I've even got it set up this time so you can't crouch under low cover, and then get stuck by uncrouching too early.
With that completed, I went in and re-implemented all the life/magic/stamina stats. These are general for all monsters/npcs, but I've got sort of a special case set up for the player.
As one of the goals is to meld the player's health and magic, their health will work a little different. Each "heart"(stand in) of player health acts as a magic pool, this pool will slowly regenerate as its used.
If the player uses all the magic in a heart, it will remove that heart as if the player took a big hit. On the health end, each heart will also allow the player to take four hits before its destroyed.
The system is also set up so that there is a minimum that the magic will regenerate too, so I can set it to regenerate hearts if they get too low.
The idea behind it is each heart(again a placeholder) represents life force or magic power stolen from someone. If i've explained it poorly, I think it will be less confusing in game. HOWEVER, if it doesn't work, its super fast(probably 15 minutes or so) for me to revert it to the more simple health/magic system the npcs use (yeah inheritance!)
So far, i feel like I'm trucking along pretty quickly on the rework part of things. I know some of you just really want to see some sex stuff, so maybe I'll break a bit to focus on that!
Regarding the patreon changes, I understand your frustration, and if I could make them just leave it as it is, I would. Hopefully they change their minds, but either way, thank you to everyone sticking around, I feel really luck and appreciate the support so much!
