Meridiana now has a dash, and can jump and glide. I feel pretty satisfied with these systems, although I'm sure I'll do some number tweaking as I go. I've got these things set up with effects and sound, and they feel pretty good I think.
As I'm reworking things, I'm trying to get them to a more complete stage, with effects and sounds built in. Of course I can always go back and change animations, effects, sounds if I need to update something.
To such effect, all the different running walking sounds and effects are in for different surfaces, as well as the effects and sounds for landing on different surfaces.
test surfaces:
This is built into the default mob class, which means that this is done for all characters, I just need to change some sounds out if a character is barefoot, or moves in some other way.
In my test area, I've incorporated moving platforms, and spinning platforms, and have gotten the ledge grab working on these surfaces, as it now grabs any ledge, not just specific ones.
I haven't decided whether I want to be able to hang from ledges, or just be able to grab them and pull up, either way, the framework is in place for it.
With these new movement abilities, she's lost the teleport, but I'm sure that will be back soon enough.
I want to show this stuff off soon, and get some feedback on how it feels.
