Important announcement + devlog 4/14 (Patreon)

Good afternoon Everyone. I hope you're doing well.

Today I have a fair few things to talk about. So let's talk about the biggest one. Branching out

For a long time we were content with funneling everyone from patreon, and furaffinity, to our discord. However recent changes to discords TOS have made us realize that not everyone will be able to access our content. So from now on All of our wips, content idea’s, and things of the sort will be carried out and pushed out on all platforms. (Patreon will stay more tame tho, for a multitude of reasons.)

To go along side of this, we have created a Itch.io that will serve as a future location to download the game, in case people do not want to download predation from a drive file from FA or discord.
Currently itch.io sits empty, and will only have predation there upon the release of 1.1


We hope that this will increase public involvement, and hopefully attract more people to the project.

From now on out, this will be the regular devlog.



Moving on, if you have been keeping up with past devlogs or wips. You will notice that we implemented a new lighting system. Over the past few days that will be changed out. The lighting engine was rather old, and caused a large amount of errors that we could not fix. It also did not work at all on linux. As such we will be moving to a new lighting system known as ‘aura 2.0’. Transition time to the new system should not take long.

I wanted to talk about rollout and updates while i’m here.

As it stands right now we have two updates in the works

1.1  and 1.2

1.1 will include changes to the main system and feel of predation. The new movement system, new enemy AI, saving, updated level one, and things of the sort like that. Vero mostly has that downpack.

1.2 will include the more full and content filled things. Such as level 2 and level 2 enemies.


These updates will all go to the bugtest build, which can be acquired on patreon from a $10 pledge.
