https://www.patreon.com/InvestAnswers #Bitcoin #Litecoin #HUT8 #Microstrategy #Doge #BullMarket Not Investment Advice - this is EDUTAINMENT :D 1 "Mark DeT Short term vs long term capital gains tax. What if timing your exits of this bull cycle doesnt align with your token/coin (purchase dates less than 1year). Is it better to hold for a lesser tax rate or sell/or other." 2 "Julie S Hey James. I’d love to hear your thoughts of bitcoin being in a supercycle and the possibility that from this point forward a low probability of future bear markets (lower prices) given the transformative adoption/awakening that is happening globally. " 3 "Courtney M What % of ur crypto would you feel comfortable with Celsius holding for you? " 4 "Terris D Hello from the Bernese Oberland, James! What is your take on George Soros wading into the BTC crypto game - especially given his dodgy history with currency trading? Is this a net positive, negative or non-event? This, after all, is a man among several others who wants us all to ""have nothing and be happy"". Thoughts?" 5 "Amy McV Hello James! My question is one I have not yet heard asked or answered in my research. What happens to the US and other countries when their fiat currencies fail and BTC and other crypto takes over? How does this impact sovereignty, trade, stability of culture and government? Thank you!" 6 "HODLnaut Hi James, can you comment on the risk and selling pressure associated with the Grayscale unlocking in mid July please? Much appreciated. " 7 "OJ Hi James. Another one: why is there btc still available? There seem to be enough multi millionaires bullish about it, so why is it not really hard to come by? Thanks." 8 "Sue Hi James, While I’m waiting for your class to learn options , where should I park my IRA? Keep it cash and wait, GBTC, HUT, MSTR, or TSLA? Because I’m not sure how fast I can learn. Thanks. " 9 " Zachary M. Hi James! My question is really a big picture question. Concerning the 1M BTC that Satoshi Nakamoto has custody of. I realize that nobody knows who this is and the idea is that these coins will never be touched. I don't know if I completely believe this idea. I want to think that this is the truth, but I also wonder what would happen if he/she/they is ever to reveal themselves? What would happen to the idea of BTC, the price of BTC, the decentralized nature of BTC, etc??? I've been investing in Crypto for just over 4 years and this is still my biggest question. ZAK'" 10 "Anibal T As a salvadorean, What business opportunities should I be looking in to? Would love to be able to be a connection for people or companies wanting to get in the country " 11 "George H @InvestAnswers if you had 500 shares each of MSTR & TSLA would you sell it and buy LEAPS? If yes which LEAP strike? And how do you determine strike? " 12 "Jim S Crystal ball - confluence of events including ETFs entering the market, institutional investment...likely to boost BTC price. However, is it likely that there may be action to drive the price down, and they move in to buy at a lower cost, then driving the price up?" 13 "Team UK - 2030 Hi James thank you in advance that you’ll be dedicating some of Q&A to the UK problem with some banks stopping crypto investments. What’s your thoughts on ‘worst case scenario’ for people like me that have already invested for long term ? Could the UK Government tell me to remove my investments or risk losing it all? If the UK keep going down this road will other European countries follow? How would this worst case scenario effect Crypto in general at losing all these investors?" 14 "Arley G What kind of indication/indicators from the bitcoin chart would convince you we are in a bear market?" 15 "Sandy R Hi there James. Can you explain the purpose of buying stable coins? I don’t understand why I would buy them rather than just leaving cash in my account to buy BTC, ETH, etc " 16 "Peter S What's the best hedge against a crypto winter within the crypto space? Stablecoins with a yield" 17 "Ron Hi James, your opinion about the current stock market situation would be interesting. Wait or Buy? What’s on your watchlist? Thx" 18 "ryan Hi James, out of interest do you think instead of litecoin being the silver to Bitcoin, it will instead be doge. Doge is already hugely popular and supported by big names. Also since it functions the same as bitcoin people understand it. All the best, amazing content and a pleasant weekend. " 19 "donymo How exactly do we extract income from our Bitcoin? Let's say it's 2030, we want to retire and we own $3M worth of Bitcoin...should we sell off enough to live on and hope it lasts? Borrow against it? A combination of both?" 20 "Jack Black Hi James, my question: I know that you are Cathie Wood fan and agree (most of the time) with her logic, decisions and funds’ management. Do you invest outright in ARK ETF’s? If not, what is the reasoning behind? advice to europeans

Hey James! I would love to know if you have transferred more of your crypto assets to Celsius following your interview? Ps. Fantastic interview btw 🙌

I posted a question on discord live chat - thanks James.

Hi James, thoughts on risks earning yield on USDC? Thanks!

Anonymous

Everyone always talks about BTC market cap limitations based on total global wealth being in the couple hundred trillion, and that they believe BTC market cap couldn't go past total global wealth. But wouldn't that be possible to achieve, if say 10 years from now, only a few hundred thousand Bitcoin are even able to change hands(due to everyone hodling)? Meaning the market cap of those few hundred thousand coins wouldn't surpass total global wealth, so that BTC price could be feasible even though that price multiplied by 21 million coins would be multiple times larger than global wealth. For example, reaching dollar parity with satoshis would mean total market cap of 2.1 quadrillion, but if only 200,000 coins are on exchanges and otc, the true market exchangeable value(liquid market value?) at that moment would only be 20 trillion.

To rebalance crypto holdings that are heavily weighted to BTC, does it make sense to splay 1 BTC across top 10 alts to improve odds of investing in the 1-2 that will achieve exponential growth over the next 5-10 years, or do the odds favour going with the 3000% BTC? Monte Carlo simulations on scenarios like this?

If you had enough ETH to swap for 1 BTC, what would you do?

Cheers James, can’t wait 🤙

Could you please follow up on the FUD indicators you mentioned in May given the recent news of big banks, and investment firms entering the crypto market? Was it their down playing or denying any participation in crypto in the months prior to their large purchases? Are there any other manipulations we should be aware of?Thank you so very much for your thoughts on this.

Anonymous

I would wait until ETH/BTC hits 0.095-0.1 and then reconsider. Currently it's 0.065, so 50% upside potential. Downside maybe 15-20%. Just my 2 sats...

Anonymous

Thanks James for the timing, great for us in the UK

Hi James, Many thanks for answering my initial question. A follow up on the BTC 4 year cycle - Is the cycle broken with the institutional adoption ? ie do we still have to wait until 2025 for the next bull cycle ? if so, what drives this regularity given that no 2 years are identical regarding adoption / buying / selling etc ? Many thanks again. Great interview with Alex from Celsius, food for thought indeed.

are ETH ETFs more lucrative than owning ETH outright?

Hi James, big fan here : ) Question: I missed the last big dip for BTC, ETH, DOT, SOL, LINK, etc. I'm wondering if I should spend the next few months saving a chunk of money so I can be ready for the next dip and jump in big; or if I should just get in weekly now with what money I can...a little at a time, like $150-200 a week? Many thanks!!

Hey James, Wondering what you think Saylors/Microstrategy's long game is as they continue to stack bitcoin at every opportunity. I've seen a lot of the Saylor videos and he expressed they will be able to borrow and lend against their bitcoin holdings, but i'am wondering if their are any possible future use cases for Microstrategy 's Bitcoin that may not be currently common knowledge? Thanks for the content!!

Do you recommend buying ARKK in an IRA? I understand you don't do ETF's in general. But, there are so few choices in an IRA.

Im with HSBC in the UK and have no problem with buying BTC via coinbase.

Thank you James for doing it earlier this time. Its perfect for europeans! Happy independence day to fellow US patrons!

Thank you for working on a 4th of July. Question; does loaning agains crypto has any tax advantage in the US? Sort of like the refi and repairing move in Real State? Thank you

Anonymous

James - thanks heaps for your great work. With regards to your sound recommendation to diversify among exchanges (de-risk) what do you think about a keeping a portion of crypto in Celsius (or similar) for yield and exchange purposes?

Thank you James. Just became a whole coiner a couple days ago.

Hi guys, can any user of Ubikeys recommend them for higher security. Thanks.

Anonymous

I would do both… DAC your way in and have some dry powder on the sideline ready for the next big dip… Speaking from experience! I wish I had more on the sideline for May 19 dip.

Anonymous

I used both Trust and Exodus. Binance invested in Trust as their official wallet. So it’s quite BEP20 and BSC tokens token focused. It used to be able to link with DEX directly but the latest version can’t cos they have to comply with Apple App Store listing requirements. I personally prefer Exodus. Lovely interface and you can earn yield on some tokens just by leaving them in your wallet. You can also add a Trezor for the added layer of security. But just don’t use their in app EX to swap coins and tokens. They are more expensive than doing it on exchange.

Thank you James -for answering my Q. Really appreciated.

I use Ubikey for 2FA with Kraken. Very simple to use and set up.

Hi James, thank you for the options videos, but you did not address how we should be selling and creating Credit Spreads. Is this something that you actually can help it?

Anonymous

Thank you James, great video. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am still not clear on how you would repay the loan if you borrow against your Bitcoin. Don’t you need to sell some of the Bitcoin to get the money to repay what you borrowed? Thanks a lot

Anonymous

Thanks James. Any hope BTC will remain in the 30-39k neighbourhood for at least 2 weeks more? Still in a downtrend but I am starting to see signs of reversal. I need to buy BTC for my SMSF (what americans call 401k) but self managed. Traditional finance systems are slow to process and transfer sadly to my bank, then bank to exchange. :( Do you have any thoughts I don't want to miss the boat. Wish it would remain in this range. I'aint going to FOMO in if it pumps but I'd likely target where limits buys could wick down and if we go bull get BTC, via altcoins. Do you have any strategies for potentially new FOMO times.

Anonymous

GBTC unlocking of their bitcoin in 12 days could be a good opportunity to get relatively cheap bitcoin. If it doesn't dump the market it will cause some people to be scared and maybe sell in predicting a dump

Got this today: As you've made a payment to Binance this year, we wanted to let you know that we're stopping payments made by credit/debit card to them until further notice. This is to help keep your money safe. For further info, please search FCA Binance online. We're sorry for any disruption this may cause you. Your Barclaycard Team. Luckily I moved my entire holdings to FTX Pro and Coinbase Pro. Didnt even use leverage etc, this was just buying flat crypto!

Anonymous

hello, does some have any experience with Token Bitcoin Long 3x (BULL) ??? is this better than having long calls options on BTC ?

Anonymous

I am looking for the best leveraged crypto products and the choice is not easy one...

Anonymous

Unsure if anyone here can help me understand this and hopefully provide some clarity. I bought a large position of Bitcoin when it reached it's peak and new to crypto and investment generally. I have been DCAing slowly ever since she managed to get the average price down to circa £34k from around £45-£47.. I had bought ETH 1 to 3 ETH between £900 or £1200 and now want more at least 9ETH So my question Is selling BTC to ETH on the BTC/ETH Pair when, when it's down🔻 against it's BTC value to buy into those ETH positions a good strategy?? at all for HODLing on.. As the ETH prices in dollar terms are back around $2300.. I can then buy the 'BTC used to buy ETH' back IN with some FIAT as opposed to apposed buying the ETH with FIAT ? Hopefully it makes sense..

InvestAnswers

Yes. I share all my trades here with Patreon Capitalists and detailed breakdowns of how I executed them.

as price of BTC goes up over time you borrow and then refinance and borrow more. That way you never have to incurr capital gains tax. Exact same thing people do wtih real estate

I was thinking over the weekend that using Celcius could be a great way to help a partial coiner get to a whole coin in the next ten years even if the price of BTC skyrockets. I created a spreadsheet using escalating assumptions on BTC price and decreasing Celcius return over time on lending BTC. If someone can get a 1/2 coin today at around $35k and invest $500 per month ($6k per year), DCA'ing over time, Celcius re-invested returns could get you 0.33 BTC while you purchase the remaining 0.17 over time. This would net you 1 BTC in 2031 worth $564k (assumed) for a total cost of $77,500. The key is getting as much as you can at these prices of course and letting compounding interest do it's work. James, any concerns about this approach?

InvestAnswers

I do not use leverage for Bitcoin at this stage of the market s sadly no experience w this.

Anonymous

Chrystof, sounds like a great strategy even if the numbers may vary due to different assumptions. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting stats & a puzzle for everyone: I was on the trading page on Coinbase and when clicking on each coin, it tells you the coin’s popularity on Coinbase. The most widely held coins on Coinbase are: 1. BTC 2. ETH 3. ? 4. ADA 5. MATIC 6. LITE Other coins of interest: SOL #63 most widely held DOGE #13 LINK #16 AAVE #41 The puzzle is which coin is #3 most widely held?

Anonymous

Thanks for doing the math, Chrystof. Very interesting strategy.

Anonymous

Lightcoine I think.

Anonymous

Holy smokes.. AAVE is back to $300. If we get another dip this coin has been extremely strong. Might have to load up.

Can someone tell me how to join the discord please? I’m a capitalist.

Interesting note by Willy Woo: Here's the historical BTC wealth per HODLer over time as seen on-chain: Oct 2009: 1000 BTC May 2011: 100 BTC Jan 2014: 10 BTC Apr 2019: 1 BTC Today: 0.69 BTC Taking into account exchange-only users who do not hold their own keys, today's average BTC wealth is approx 0.25 BTC. Got Bitcoin?

Anonymous

I think that would be about right. The majority would see this as a speculative asset and would sell out to make some profit. Although, that could be different now.

Anonymous

Question - Do you think Bitcoin and Ethereum will become the new gold and silver aka constantly being manipulated to keep the price down or do you not see that as being possible?

Anonymous

As long as there are trading tools, exchanges, derivatives, proxies and ETFs, the potential for manipulation will be present.

"Oil will be a dinosaur"? The death of oil is greatly exaggerated.

Anonymous

James ,what do you think of Abra ? Thanks Jim

Anonymous

Absolutely. I spent (and still am) most of my career in 3rd world countries. There, there is no infrastructure to discard oil. 5 billion people absolutely depend on it, but the other 2.5 billion also do without maybe realising it. Networks cannot handle a full conversion to EV's in any developed country, forget about the undeveloped ones.
