Update/Backstory: Upcoming Darkest Dungeon Story (Patreon)

SO! Wow. I went way off course this month. First and foremost though, trigger warnings! I sort of tested how dark I could go with this one and stay comfortable with myself this time around. I didn't want to go full goreporn, as I've had to write before for pay, but I do go into some darker topics than "Big titted monstergirl has a loving relationship with a human" or "a sexy hardcore wrestling match."  

SO WARNING! I leave in some sexiness and humor, but this following story contains or implies a few things:  Sex with monsters, cutting/scarring, mass breeding, sacrilege, crisis of faith, bloody fights, unspecified filth, and implied rape.

Some backstory here if you like: I've got chunks of Lily Max and Lenore and the Nightmares done, as the 3rd and 4th place contenders from the vote. I got sidetracked with finishing the Christmas story and having a hot streak with Moodere, but talk about inspiration... randomly connected some thoughts and wrote some sexy fiction based on Darkest Dungeon, this tactical game off Steam that I got real into for a few months. It's about a Lovecraftian dungeon crawl: you play as an heir to a village that's been tainted by your fucked up ancestor. You send parties of already broken people (aka heroes) into these dungeons and forests to go slowly insane or die to bring back gold and kill mutant and otherworldly bosses that corrupt the land.   I should mention that I best summarized my experience by the time I sent four of my strongest after an event boss. Two died early on, but my Jester warded off their insanity long enough for my Crusader to stay on death's door, lucking out on misses and death saves long enough to be the sole survivor to save my town and quietly salvage his teammates' equipment to drag back home. 

This story was a touch of parody, but it's also me seeing what I could do with a dark-toned adventure. Where things won't always turn out great and even if everyone survives, they don't come out of it as better people.   Anyway! I hope you can still like this tone of a story. Do let me know either way! For now, I give you a cowardly Graverobber, a bloodlusting Hellion, a repressed Vestal, and a dangerously curious Plague Doctor. If this goes over well, I'm planning ideas for a sequel involving genderswapped (all female) other classes on another grim adventure.
