I'm gonna shoot straight with you guys. I've got the minimum output for the month up and still want to do more. I've been planning next month's votes for art and stories. I'm stuck on a good ending for Lenore and the Nightmares that isn't just sort of fun action rather than something sexy or ecchi, and waiting for the mood to write a good match for Lily Max. I got a lot of commission writing today and wanted to write something rather than nothing... so I started on this.

The story follows VERY loosely on Darkest Dungeon, a game I played for a year or so that's a deconstructive notion of sending heroes on adventures and them coming back traumatized, sick, or dead from it. It's a gross dark world where your adventurers are disgraced soldiers, bloodthirsty jesters, and literal lepers who come for gold and glory but can die in a bad round or two. It's dark with a touch of humor and flowery narrative as your nutjob ancestor narrates everything.

I started this one on a whim within a few minutes of thinking of it. A team of all female party members goes into a tomb of twisted monstrosities and start to lose their minds, courage and clothes. It's a little darker than I tend to go, but only in that the women are unwilling, there's monstrous males, and some outright hentai shit going on as the women likely don't come out better than they were. I still don't get big on gore or grimdark or anything, but I'm testing the darker waters.

Darkest Dungeon Dames

Dark and deep were the ancient tunnels, woven like a deeply-rooted rot beneath these lands. I used up the last of my men and torches before I found what was described in the ancient tomes. Through my veil of greed and madness, I made a pact with the lustful thing.

This will likely be a fun one. Just a question, are they in the weald or in the Warrens? I seem to remember that swinefolks live only in the warrens while the weald is where you find toxic mushroom and stuff. Also, will they run into the shambler or the collector and go mad like half of my teams? Also, do you intend to have them make it out alive? As I've found out in the game, your heroes usually do not get back , particularly when they have already gone mad

well I'm definitely not going to stay 100% loyal to the game, just using it as a basis. It's more of the Warrens with the pig men, but they probably took a route through the Weald to get there. Madness will definitely become a factor, but I think the enemies will remain mostly traps and swine. As it stands, they will probably survive, but in horrible shape. I'll see where the story takes me, but with the ending scene as I have it and my narrative tastes, it feels more fun to have them alive but broken. Playing the game a whole lot, I started to get good enough (by others dying at my hand) that personally, one or two usually went mad and I could have them drink, fuck or pray it away. I also played it safe a lot, so if the Collector showed up, I usually ended it there, kept his ridiculous loot and called it a win. Though I once beat both him and the Hag in one run because he acted a fool and my Jester was there to heal everyone's sanity. Honestly if this goes well, I'm thinking of a sequel with some of the genderswapped other classes (maybe a vet or two from this one) and a brainwashing Siren

that sounds like fun story. Also, this is really nitpicking but the grave robber uses a pickaxe, not a shovel. btw, would be fun to have them lose someone and have to fight their dead companion when the collector shows up. Would probably generate tons of stress leading to a bit more madness/virtue. We could always resurrect the character with the town event "from beyond"

yea, I just gave her both for funs. besides, shovels are part of the buyable gear. and there will definitely be infighting one way or another with how I have things planned so far
