On April 12th, at 9pm EST, I will be doing a live event on my discord. This is my opportunity to talk to you, and your opportunity to ask some questions! We're going to get a curated list from my patreons, especially for those who cant make it to the live event, and answer some questions live as well. There will additionally be a recording availible later for anybody who can't make it.

So, this is a space for people to ask some questions, to hopefully be answered on the 12th!

Do you read The Wandering Inn and if you do is there a possibility of a crossover because Beware of Chicken and The Wandering Inn are two of my favorite books? Also what’s your favorite character? Mine’s Rags.

The narrative pace of Book 2 was fairly slow, as far as things go. Is this the kind of pace you intend for Book 3 or will you return to Book 1's comparatively faster pace (or even faster than that)?

This series has been one of the most heartwarming and wholesome stories I've ever read. My question is... do you imagine any specific music while writing Beware of Chicken? Can you think of specific songs for scenes?

I found it's best read in silence, unless it's a rapid fight scene. No noise from headphones, speakers, outside, next room over, etc. You want to soak in the warmth and wholesomeness. If next door is thumping their music, stop and read later. Tho, there is one scene where I recommend you play some Epic music, being the intense fight scene between the Demon-dude and Jin. Including Xiulan's POV of it, tho there might be a small chance that there wasn't. And wasn't there the Rooster POV too? Too lazy to double check.

My boy suggests that the woman from the trading company may also be in play but Xuiliam is the one I'm referring to I feel it would work out well if done right though here's aren't usually my thing it work in the wheel of time series and could work here just my opinion lol

With the way things are going, it looks like things are going in a poly direction. I do not want there to be any harem; instead a healthy, organic polyamory relationship. Based on full consent. Tho the 'harem' mention is not to do with your comment here, but it does for your second comment outside this sub-thread. I would love for there to be a triad of equal love. There are other poly variations of course (that also take a lot of effort to develop) but it looks like things are likely to go triad. Which I think is the most wholesome, paragon way forward anyway. Tho putting in boundaries and keeping the status quo is fine too. These three are just so wholesome together, with the way they play pranks on each other, to the teasing, to the effort they've put into their relationships and themselves. Harems are... yeah nah. In a triad Xuilan would have a wife and husband; Jin, a wife and wife; and Meimei, a husband and wife. I love seeing all three of these characters develop, and grow closer together; even if it stays 'the same' romance-wise. But going past that would be so satisfying too. Such a relationship would take a lot of development to grow, and could make for a great story. Meimei and Xuilan would have to get past their professional-like relationship first, and become true friends. And I think there would have to be different POVs of stuff like this. Also, why do I think this stuff? Meimei teased Xuilan with 'you want to join us in bed?' a couple times. Xuilan leaning against Meimei in the latest chapter. Them teaming up against each other. And regarding your other comment about the trading company employee, that would bring it into the harem territory. Not a fan of the 'in play' mentality. If you want them to develop her and the relationships, it could be done but it will get exponentially more difficult. Tho in saying that, it could even have greater payoffs. But their first interaction doesn't make me comfortable even then; should stay friends. I think three main characters is enough tho, and we are already into the 'maturing stage' of the story.

All in all, I avoid harems like the plague. I specifically go on novalupdates to check for it. In practice because of scarcity, that means I stick to mono relationships 99% of the time. When three (or, rarely, more) characters are developed with respect to real life poly relationships, it's like finding a gem in the rough. It would be pretty great to find one more.

For those who never read the wheel of time series the main character had three women who fell in love with him all 3 women were talented in different ways and help and complemented Rand on his journey to save the world sex and physical appearance were side notes I can see this type of relationship happening in this story we will just have to wait and see
