This is a classic. I don't think I have watched any zombie stuff in ages. I feel like when this came out there were so many zombie films around. I don't think I ever watched whatever the third film in the trilogy is. I think you were right, at least for me, that this type of comedy is more smiling than laugh out loud stuff. I haven't seen it before but "What's Your Number?" is one of Chris Evans' romcoms, I feel like people said that might have been a revealing film 😂

I live in the US and even over here this movie is a classic. It’s one of those zombie movies that even one has seen.

Love this film! Btw, I watched The Losers today on HBO! It’s another older marvel film and it has Chris Evans in it as a main character! Definitely suggest you check it out. I also watched the fantastic 4 movies on Disney + with him as well. Maybe for when you want to go on a little Chris Evans kick? They definitely aren’t the current MCU but they are fun and give you a chance to see some more of Stan Lee!

First time watching this, it was good, but oh man its not half as good as Hot Fuzz.

Lucy Davis (Dianne) is an amazing actor, from the BBC's The Office, to Wonder-Woman(2017) and her role as Hilda Spellman on the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She is absolute GOLD! CAOS would be a great series to review somewhere down the line, a lot of eye-candy in that show.

To answer your question, for us non-Brits (American here), the humor doesn't fall flat at all. My college friends and I used to watch this quite a bit. It was our go to movie when we were high. So entertaining and felt authentic as far as what one expects average Brits to be as opposed to the inaccurate depictions we often see in shows/movies.
