HalloweEnGIRL Options Recap + Why has this taken long (Patreon)

I'm almost finished with V2, you can't hear it from this .jpg 🙃 but I assure you the audio has all been added for this scene. All that's left for me to do is create the script/animation for her facial reactions to match the audio.

Why has this work taken longer?

In my last post I wanted to share how I would like to build games/animations in the future in a way that allows for quicker playable releases. Right now I'd like to reflect and share from my experience on HalloweEnGIRL, why I feel this flash took longer to create.
-multiple animations
Ultimately the theme of tentacles is to have multiple things happening to EGirl at the same time.
In my past works I would always start with a simple base that was a standard sex scene and add to that in updates. However for tentacles I feel you need all the extra animations already part of it, to follow the theme; the nipple play, vaginal, anal, futa (and oral in a later update), all make a proper tentacle hentai.
-multiple animation combinations and the script involved
Not only did I have to animate all the different segments but I had to find a way to make them animate together, which involved a lot of time working on the script for the buttons. I had to make sure all animations worked, didn't glitch into other animations, etc.
Most animators would limit you to the scene as is, but I really wanted to make it so you could turn on and off the different tentacles affecting her different parts.
Because of this I also had to work with several different audio tracks. That way, if you added more tentacles the intensity in her voice would go up. This involved not only adding in the different audio loops but scripting it so they don't loop over each other and the correct one plays during the correct situation. Not to mention scripting several different facial reaction animation loops to match.

To sum it up, it's simply has been a lot to work to combine all these aspects. Usually I would have started with a simple first release, however with tentacles as the theme I decided I couldn't make a simple first release to begin with.
This has been a learning experience for me too and that's why I know that when I start work on a new game, I will be more aware of workloads when it comes to combining multiple animations and options.

So now is a good time to go over the options you mentioned in the past that I decided to take on. If anyone has Ideas they want to share now is the time to do it in the comments 💖 Now I'll be honest, these are already a lot, some are just little additions and others would take some work, but sometimes you come up with really good ideas or interesting versions of the ideas I already have, so I'm always interested to hear what you have to say.
