Man, have you guys been seeing these Nintendo 64 leaks? All the high-res textures and uncompressed voice files and shit? I've been completely fixated on them. Like, Mario 64 and Star Fox 64 were my entire life growing up, and it's just...wild seeing some of this shit. Seeing crystal clear renders of things I've only seen in tiny thumbnails printed in game magazines, or hearing Star Fox 64 lines as if you were right there in the actor's sound booth. Even just all the weird shit, like finding Luigi files in Mario 64 or the unused art in Star Fox 2, it's such an incredible trip down a rabbit hole of what could have been and what it took to make these games. Growing up with these games, you never really thought about how they were made. Just, poof, they came into existence one day. It's wild to think that at some point, somebody had to sit down and start a new folder called "Ultra 64 Mario" and just start working from there.
