I'm soooo sleeeeepppy. Leslie's been getting WAY better sleep, but I've been sleepy like all day today. Not really sure why. We're uploading kinda late though, so I'mma cut this short and go lay down. Thank you all so much! See you on Monday!

Not a big fan of the manipulation here but I’m still interested

Aeryn Light

This is a little manipulative, yes, but I think it's more out of crisis management than malice. I'm pretty sure Elizabeth is being at least mostly truthful here. While there may be some other companies out there willing to manage The Rock Cocks, they are likely either hard to find or independent labels with low national appeal.

I love getting to see this side of Elizabeth. Character growth!

I'm caught in that situation where I'm glad Elizabeth is trying to manage and stand up for herself (well, in a way) rather than take pushback meekly. On the other hand, Suria has a point. It is true that opportunities like Sterling offered them would be limited because of the kind of attitude, reputation, and music of the group presents and to be fair to him, he hasn't tried to be that dictatorial business manager that's micromanaging their song writing and the like. However, with his existing business feud with a person that's like Captain Ahab, they're always going to be undercut and handicapped by that in terms of promotions. Perhaps they would do better with a smaller/indie label that is 1. used to bands like theirs and 2. doesn't have that existing handicap Sterling does. In short, while Elizabeth has a point, I can't blame Suria for looking over their past history and just see obstacles in their path and want to move on to "greener pastures".

Wrong approach, I think. What Suria needs isn't stuffed shirt platitudes, she needs sincerity. The professional act isn't the right track to earn her trust.

Here we have a hart time sleeping, too, because it's so hot and the air is soo humid... I hope you could rest well after the upload!
