Oh man, I managed to track down a copy of Ring Fit Adventure. I started playing yesterday. "Intense" mode workout on adventure mode. Played about two levels. Wasn't able to play today though, because those two levels left me SORE. AS. FUCK. Like holy shit, that game gave me such a fucking workout. Granted, I've been very out of shape for the past...I dunno, half a year or so since we moved from our old apartment, but I was not expecting Ring Fit to be as effective as it was. I was definitely working out muscles I have very clearly never worked before. And the ring itself puts up so much more resistance than you would think! I'm way more into muscle training, so this is absolutely perfect for me. I honestly wish I wasn't so sore so I could play some more. Helps that the writing in the game is genuinely charming and the music is really fun. I'm so excited to see more of it.

If any of you have the game yourself, please give me some tips! I want to make the absolute most of it!

If you haven't yet, go into the settings menu and change the workouts so you always complete them, instead of having the workouts stop as soon as you defeat an enemy. Also, make sure to do requests from people in town when they appear, as you'll get more EXP. Also also, try not to lean forward too much during repeated squats, as I did, which briefly destroyed my back.

Okay, that bit with Steg is hilarious. And how'd you guys score a Ring Fit thingie? Y'all didn't have to pay stupid scalper prices for it, did you?

Nah, we just got lucky and saw a tweet saying it was available for order at a local Best Buy. Don't worry, I wore a mask picking it up!
