It is already a tradition to publish updates from the generator :)
This update is global, it introduces RMP (profiles for RX 6700 XT and RX 6800 XT), DRAM Calculator for Ryzen (started with monitoring) and initial support for Zen 4.
We also continue to work on simplifying the interface to work with the HYBRID OC.

--------------------------------------------------------------

TO USE THE AUTOMATIC UNDERVOLTING/OVERCLOCKING FUNCTIONS, INSTALL MSI KOMBUSTOR IN THE ROOT FOLDER OF THE APPLICATION!!!

,

CPU/GPU PROFILE COMPATIBILITY WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION(1.2G)?

- YES, but you will have to manually enter the data in the tables from the ProfilesCPU.ini.

ONLINE-GUIDE (update ETA) :

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1_j6vB61koOVwEHLrvqt7lh1RYw4XRuoTIeEDtYmnFj0/edit?usp=sharing

--------------------------------------------------------------

* HOC mode. This function manages the set of AVX and SSE offsets that were previously. This is more convenient and easier.
* The AVX and SSE offsets that were on the HYBRID OC tab have been moved to the settings tab.
* Accordingly, HYDRA ASSISTANT has received other options to solve problems after a crash, actively uses the HOC mode parameter.
* Added support for Zen 4 processors for monitoring and partial support for HYBRID OC.

* Implemented first RMP profiles for RX 6700 XT and RX 6800 XT.
* Implemented a mechanism for user uploading profiles to HYDRA created in MPT. Just copy the .mpt file into the appropriate RMP folder. Starting next month, I will complete the releases with your named profiles. More details later.

* The integration of DCFR (DRAM Calculator for Ryzen) into the HYDRA project has started. It's more options, it's easier, and it's a new format. Both for DDR5 and DDR4. So I started with monitoring.

* Added possibility to use offset voltages for SOC during GPU overclocking or undervolting.
* Some fixes and improvements for the Tweaks function (HYDRA GPU DIAGNOSTIC CENTER).
* Improved undervolting or overclocking operations for the GPU. The method used to change the AVFS parameter instead of curves.
* Fixed a bug that did not allow to activate Idle, Throttler and Response Features correctly (RX-TUNER tab).
* Added PowerPlay table auto-reactivation after each reboot or system startup(the only way to make all functions work correctly).
* Added visual cues when selecting applications for CUSTOM profiles.

WHAT'S NEXT? (plan for November)

-
Full Zen 4 support (CO diagnostics and HYBRID OC)
- New profiles for RMP
- Profiles for DCFR (DRAM Calculator for Ryzen) + applying a profile from Windows(!)
- Core update for HYBRID OC
- Improved monitoring for DDR5 memory

Thank you for your support!

The diagnostics for this version of the application do not seem correct on my system. Particularly, the Game settings are out of whack, but all vid settings are significantly different that previous versions. Previous versions have no issue. e.g. 5800X 1.2G Pro - 1T-4T - VID 1318 CCD1 4525 vs 1.2F Pro - 1T-4T -VID 1386 CCD1 4575 1.2G Pro - 5T-11T - VID 1313 CCD1 4475 vs 1.2F Pro - 5T-11T -VID 1352 CCD1 4450 Others are similar. But, the most odd is 1.2G Pro - ALL(GAME) 1324 CCD1 4800 vs 1.2F Pro - ALL(GAME) 1364 CCD1 4575 Starting a game, unsurprisingly immediately crashes the system. While I could play with the idea it is giving, it feels completely out of whack.

FYI - I manually altered the voltages per profile and did not select "Find best VID" - but it did anyway

I've discovered what the problem was. I'll write a more extensive explanation a bit later, as it was due to one or two small bugs/changes that were not present before.

Can somebody please help me? After running the diagnostics, Hydra finds the optimised PBO2 CO values just fine but the Hybrid OC profiles aren't filled. Every profile states 3550mhz... I have attached the log. Seems like PHOENIX closes down after reaching the temp limit with FFT MIN: 84 FFT MAX: 84 test. My 5950x is watercooled using an EK Aurus Master monoblock. Water temp is 25c. I know my CPU shoots to max temperature on heavy load very quickly. I tried reseating the monoblock and apply high quality paste but there was no difference.. I have similar problems. The diagnosis runs through, but I also see it that the data is not transferred. Can I provide log files? Here a screenshot of my "home screen" https://ibb.co/GV0fcfy

I noticed a "bug" where Hydra is loading the Parsec Virtual Display Driver instead of the Radeon driver. Would it be possible to "automagically" filter out known non-hardware drivers like Parsec or other virtual display drivers?

Anonymous

hello how can I download Hydra?

Anonymous

when it loads up it goes on main screen not in to task bar

Hi, the version 1.2G is great, but the GPU fan does not apply with the settings in HYDRA, everytime I have to open up the AMD Adrenalin to set up the fan speed manually. Is it a known issue or it just happened to me ?

Anonymous

It doesn't seem to recognize my GPU at all. RX Tuner is grayed out and nothing in displayed in the GPU box. Red Devil RX 6950 XT

Anonymous

Same on my 6700xt with 5600x on a Asrock B550. UPDATE: If you are running a program like spacedesk, you'll have to turn it off in the control panel prior to launching Hydra.

Anonymous

I have the same issue. Fan control has never worked properly for me

Anonymous

I assume that for 5800X3D only the CO can be used?

Anonymous

yeah. your better off just setting it to -30 in the bios and leave it in my experience.

There is a bug when trying to manually apply uv in RX Tuner settings, this is how I reproduce it: 1- Diagnostic -> GPU 2- Find UV settings 3- play a game 4- Game crashes and drivers restarts 5- Go to rx tuner and reapply previously found uv settings or any other settings 6- gpu consumes the stock power and voltage you need to go all the way again through the uv process for hydra to apply the uv settings.. update: It looks like msi afterburner can interfere when manually doing the uv settings, I disable the voltages and clock control and the manual uv settings applied ok.

Hi eberybody. I'm little curious about Ryzen 4th generation, Someone have tested Hydra with this cpu family? On the net i don't find never about this......(maybe the rig wth this cpu family have proibitive cost's yet....)

Anonymous

One more thing.. I managed to find my best gpu undervolt at -55.5mv and everytime I reboot the value changes to -56.25mv

hey all. When i start up the hydra app i keep getting the message "CPPC tags are not available!" anyone? edit: the public version 1.0.0.7 seems to work. Do i need to update the 1.0.0.7 install w updated versions for it to work? thanks. edit2: when i try to overwrite 1.0.0.7 with 1.2G i get the same message again and everything is grayed out :/

Hydra 12G hangs when I start my pc.... ¿¿....?? MD: Asus Crosshair VIII HERO + Ryzen 5900x.

I have a machine with both AMD CPU and GPU that is mainly used for gaming headlessly. I mainly use Parsec, which has their own virtual display adapter. Whenever using Hydra 1.2G, it will not detect my RX 6700XT (AMD drivers do and so does Windows), but only the Parsec virtual adapter. Whenever the driver is uninstalled, everything works properly in Hydra 1.2G. I'm assuming the Parsec driver is attempting to take priority. Is this something that's able to be addressed, or will I no longer be able to use this virtual adapter?

I ran this version on a new 5800x3d with default settings in Hydra. The voltage at 1T-4T and 5T-11T scare me at 1.4 volts. Also, the max CPU speeds listed in the Auxilliary CO Table seem way too high at 4875-4950. I haven't stressed it yet for fear of damaging the CPU. Any thoughts? Any recommendations for Hybrid OC settings, before letting Hydra run its Diagnostics on this particular model of CPU?

Anonymous

Dont worry it cant change anything other than curve. That does seem odd for it to have set that as voltage. My 3d seems to work vest with just a manual -30 curve on all core.

I've updated from 1.2F and I'm a bit confused. I tried loading regular and backed up copies of my profiles within Hydra, using the appropriate function/button, but that didn't work. Yuri mentioned that there is compatibility between CPU and GPU profiles with the previous version, but that users would have to "manually enter the data in the tables from the ProfilesCPU.ini". Does that mean simply copying all the contents (text) from the old INI file to the new one? Replacing the file in the Hydra folder? For now, I've manually adjusted the settings and sliders in the AMD PBO2 tab. However, I've noticed that the values for "HYBRID OC Settings" (which have relocated to the actual Settings portion of the app) don't match with my previous installation of Hydra (1.2F), for which I'd painstakingly run diagnostics. Not sure if those new values should not be changed, or if it's part of the INI that has to be manually copied over. Any clarification is welcomed.
