VIRUSTOTAL REPORT

HYDRA 1.1H3 PRO (1110) - what's new?

* Increased speed of diagnostics (+30-40%) for situations when the user does not use AMD CO.
* Fixed bug when user tried to set thermal limit more than 90 degrees, but got limit of 9 degrees as a result.
* At the request of the community, the maximum thermal limit has been increased to 95 degrees.
* Adjusting the values that "HYDRA ASSISTANT" sets before diagnostics to reduce the number of cases when the HYDRA security system stopped the diagnostics.
* Fixed a bug where the "5T+" profile was not switching on on CPUs with 1CCD.
* If there is a failure in the system, but "Using PBO2" or "HYBRID OC" is turned off, the user will not get an annoying window asking to perform actions with CO.
* "HYDRA ASSISTANT" does not suggest selecting a preset with voltages if "Find best VID" is activated.
* Fixed bug when profile creation was interrupted due to "invalid VID value".
* Added exception handling when during profile creation the optimal voltage search function gave excessive values relative to the voltages at which the diagnostics was performed.

HYDRA 1.2A PRO - is already in development. The frequency control, voltages and monitoring functions for RDNA1/RDNA2 are already ready. I don't know if I will have time to prepare an announcement or if it will just be released at the end of the month as usual.

Would it be possible to disable startup applications besides hydra when rebooting from a failure during diagnostics.. Also, possibly being able to give an option on diagnostics settings to disable password/pin during testing to fully automate reboots

Anonymous

Hydra assistant does not obey config value unless the settings are reloaded upon app startup

"Open the Advanced User Accounts program by entering the netplwiz command in the Run dialog box. In the User tab, uncheck the box next to Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer. Select OK. Enter the username you want to use for the automatic login and the password. Select OK to save. Restart your computer." I use this when doing diagnostics.

What does "Adjusting the values that "HYDRA ASSISTANT" sets before diagnostics to reduce the number of cases when the HYDRA security system stopped the diagnostics." means exactly. EDIT* I think it means you increased the default safety limits to avoid diagnostics stopping as frequently.

Hey Yuri -- this is really fabulous work. I'm pretty experienced in the area of overclocking and have done quite a few ryzen overclocks( I've done all core, pbo/2, dynamic overclock switcher on dark hero / corsair viii extreme) I think an updated guide would be really helpful. I think your project is likely to save me a lot of time, but I'm afraid to use it until I understand the right process and all the guides I can find are from several versions ago. Thanks for your efforts.

same here! makes running diag over night super nice. I'll usually set hydra to shut down the pc after, as well.

Thats what exacly im thinking on this moment. Is there any one time button to make all the tasks? A lot of time i fell lost using the program and dunno what to do... @Yuri could you please update your guide? Thanx

From June 11: About the new guide: It's in the process of being developed. I'm trying to get it all done.

Oh sry it downloaded now

Pretty much the there is nothing you need to set in BIOS anymore, LLC is optional. Stable memory is the only requirement. Running diagnostic is as simple as clicking Diagnostic and reading the options there, you don't have to touch any of them if you choose not to, enable the options you wish to use click the start button, the assistant will ask what kind of tune you are after and then it will begin. Later when you get more used to the testing you can fine-tune the voltage used for diagnostic tests and manually check/uncheck the cores you want to re-test and set the CO value closer to what you wish to test from. Only thing you need to do for Hybrid OC defines the profile creation power limits exactly same way you would with manual Curve Tuning in Bios for PBO2 then in settings > safety define your OC cut off values so when something exceeds that the diagnostics or the hybrid OC/PBO2 turn off.

Idea for future update, would like the possibility to manually restore a diagnostic backup file if Phoenix crashes and does not automatically start again. As the diagnostic process takes a considerable amount of time, I had multiple failures on core 11 of my 5950x and after 22 hours or so I only managed to get my pbo2 sorted. Thank you for your excellent work as always.

HI, I have one reboot at the same core (Core 11) could be the same batch. But it does not take that long with my 5950x.

What you mean? This has happened to me in past and I just start Hydra manually and it comes right again, as long as diag was not corrupted. You can lessen the impact by manually setting your CO values for PBO2 from a looking at the log and then untick cores which were already tested. For best stability whatever Hydra finds for PBO2 I generally decrease by 2, currently I'm running diag using Heavy Testing with a mix of FMA3 as I find cores that work at CO -28 actually fail all the way down to CO -18 under extreme circumstances and since I'm going for best stability with moderate OC heavy-duty was rhe way to test it.

Anonymous

i tried that as it has happened in the past. could not get it to pick up where it left off, so i ended up running hybrid co test again.

Anonymous

I have not had it happen on H3 yet, but it used to happen on older Hydras, it is a pain when that happens haha, I suppose you could manually make copies of the logs at intervals locally.

Anonymous

usually when that happens the cause can actually be found in the events viewer in windows. if it won't pick up where it left off their might be multiple older files of the ryzenmaster utility in registry. especially if it rebooted. what mobo do you have if i may ask. also what are your memory timings set to. sometimes thats also the problem. go to windows search and type in event viewer then windows logs and apps. you ll see hydra/phoenix and the problem.

thanks for the info, I will keep that in mind if I run into anymore issues, Mobo is an Asus Strix x570 E-Gaming
