The past few weeks I have been much more critical of my artwork and hoping to make major chances and one of them is to be more critical of my lineart and coloring. Finding a better balance between efficiency and style.

To practice more and try new things. A part of that is trying out new brushes, the anime/manga discipline of style and getting those more relevant characters drawn closer to when they're more popular.

It's no always easy when I draw quite slow I think sometimes or get bogged down in a project or find myself attempting something in a commission I am not ready for. But thats how I role sometimes. For this piece I worked on the line multiple times using my trusty brush tool, a new manga style brush within procreate and then a more muted coloring style that uses radients alot more and gets the character across with the fewest amount of brush strokes.

I actually have never played Resident Evil 4, the original or the remake. I kind of stopped the series after 5 with Sheeva and Chris and haven't really returned to the games but I still watch the playthroughs of the newer remakes coming out and it will always have a place in my heart for giving me nightmares for zombies for years after when my bros rented it on PS1 back in the day back in like 1998. Even though I had such nightmares- I kept drawing zombies and Claire Redfield, even getting a figurine of her and using her as a reference.

I ended up ditching the bikini version as I felt it made the boobs look a bit odd. If this piece gets lots of love I will consider going back and doing a bikini and topless/nude version.

Which Resident Evil waifu should I draw next?
