Just made this out of some test renders I've saved during the making of that halloween pic. Figured some of you might be interested to see how it evolved. ^.^

The timeline is a little inaccurate because of the having-to-redo-the-final-render-because-of-the-dutch-angle-and-reflection-quality shenanigans, but the overall progress is accurate.

I guess I can make this kind of thing a semi-regular feature. I save test renders for all pieces, but they're not always interesting. It could work for fairly complex pieces, like this one.

Enjoy! :D

are the teeth always separate from the model?

Like I said before, you do a lot to make her pretty. She's very frightening in appearance in this scene well before you add any of your beautification. She's still one of my favorite characters after the fact. The first couple images appears like the basement of a castle. If it wasn't for her crazy look she'd look like she was just curious whats down the hallway. Putting her on her balls of her feet makes the image more convincing. She's "creeping".

Teeth and tongues (also eyes, obviously) are separate objects from the body, yes. It's more convenient to work on them this way. And I can reuse them for other characters without having to make new ones from scratch (except for eyes; reusing that would be bad). XD They just require some modifications. Making tongues is fun, but teeth are a nightmare. ._.
