Almost 3 weeks on from the last one with life getting in the way at times #WACUP #beta 1.5.7.9410 is now up for beta testers with more done to ensure its stable so I can now work on the blockers for a new preview build.

Things that still need to be done before a new public preview build happens include:

1) artwork display support within the local library views

2) library watch folders / external file change tracking

3) basic command-line support to not break the experience vs the current preview

It will also include the initial way of having WACUP run without the need for the original Winamp exe though it's going to be a while before I've got modern skin support working (as I need to figure out the api, etc that's being used) plus I need to sort out an equaliser to use.

The main goal is that each build is better than before & that's mostly been the case. As I know it's not the quickest of processes at times to re-create what had evolved over almost 16yrs whilst trying to keep the classic Winamp feel to things along with refining it as is needed.

WACUP Beta Build #9410 Changelog

Added Windows on ARM detection to the crash reporter (as running WACUP on Windows 10 for ARM on a Raspberry Pi 4 is now a known to work configuration which runs surprisingly well though a native ARM64 verison of WACUP would likely make for a nicer experience on such hardware...)

2022-01-13 23:12:46 Few days later & it seems to be running OK with not many crashes seen & most of them are known 3rd party plug-in issues or from testing WACUP out on WINE (it does however generate some weird visual issues that will need investigation). Overall am quite happy with this beta build! With that I've also started working on making it easier for me to manage the WACUP beta testers including how I add new people to it. So over the next week or so I'll reach out to those who asked but were put in a holding pattern now I've purged over 330 inactive tester accounts. -dro
