So this episode sets up the Direct to Video movie Batman & Mister Freeze: Subzero. It is pretty cool that a movie was made from such a cool villain like Victor Fries.

Mr Freeze is probably the most consistently well written character in Batman TAS, the reason we've gone so long without seeing him again in the series till this episode, is because the showrunners thought his first appearance was so good that they were scared to ruin it by doing a second one. There's a reason he was the one to get an animated film in the series, I still highly recommend seeing it.
