My working theories is Vaggie was an angel or she died in war and war crimes could be the reason she ended up in Hell. I am also wondering if Carmilla is based on the vampire Carmilla.

All jokes aside, Angel Dust has a point about BDSM entailing a lot of trust. I don't like the "Vaggie was an angel" theory. I think her personality is more compelling if she's implicitly carrying a lot of baggage from a life unceremoniously cut short.

The reason Vaggie didn't rhyme "wife" with "life" is because she was rhyming "partner" with "armor". It's a slant rhyme but if she tried to rhyme with "life" it would've thrown off the rhythm.
