To be clear, "sliver" is a term applied to "cracked reflections" (escaped reflections), not a name. When the term was first mentioned in season 1, Agent Mace said "Slivers will do anything to get what they want." So talking in the plural. (This is not a comment on the widespread headcanon of MT having they/them pronouns, which is cool and neat, it's just not what the show did. MT is always called "she" in the show, so as far as canon [just the actual text] goes, she's she/her.)

Vex Valor

MT is a trans allegory. Most of the fans refer to them as they/them. They are very much written to be nonbinary and/or transmasc. Notice how OTHER people refer to MT as a girl, but not MT themself. Other people are forcing MT into a box that they don't want to be in and through this season, they will become their own person instead of the person everyone else wants them to be. The creator said he wanted to write a trans character, but wasn't allowed to, so he got creative in making a really deep trans allegory that would be able to get past executives, but pretty much any trans person watching it picks up on the allegory, myself included.
