oh yay! what a treattt. that daisy performance was when they had their win btw. hahaha. rather than watching their first win, i would highly recommend watching this vlive clip of them right after their first win: https://youtu.be/JAoc9_nST7M They get vv honest about alot of things for an idol group that i was honestly quite surprised. heads up, you will definitely cry. haha and yes the superlatives video is super confusing for anyone who doesnt know pentagon. loll btw re yanan's hiatus, the reason why it's so different from right now was because he was going on a hiatus for his health and cube was v silent on when he'd be back. towards the latter part of his hiatus, yanan even wrote a post that he has been contacting cube to ask them to let him back but cube wasnt replying to him . so the fans were very uncertain at the time and we werent even sure if he would even be allowed back into the group. anw he missed the 9th mini album, 1st full album and RTK (he was also on hiatus during the 7th mini album). so really the only period we had OT9 was during their 8th mini album genius sha la la era. and looks like it's gonna be the only one at least for the next couple of years. lollll.

Ahhh, I keep forgetting that was him! I always heard that story early on as a kpop fan. That one dude was trying to get back into his group but the company legit wasn't answering him. I always forget that I know that group now and that the person was Yanan haha. It's insane that CUBE even did that. There was no explanation as to why it happened like that afterward?

Thank you for reacting once again!! I’m so glad their proper interview video was included, as I always forget just how powerful it can be! The really sad thing about the time they mentioned when Kino was crying on stage, was that it was because so many new “fans” instantly dropped them when the whole thing with Dawn happened. They ended up having their fansign majorly refunded and boycotted, it was a very difficult time for them when it wasn’t even their fault. It also makes me worry for (G)I-dle moving forward, as I can only hope they don’t get the same treatment! As Kiralye mentioned above, Yanan was ill for his last hiatus, but this time he’s in China as he’s doing another drama - so it feels a lot better than last time when we didn’t have any updates on his whereabouts at all.

Omg 43 minutes of Pentagon content!!! I just wanted to kind of explain why it was so funny that they chose Wooseok as the member with the best hair, it's because of Naughty Boy. It was their comeback after Shine and Wooseok's hair was shaved and green. They still call him an avocado because of it, and that's why when they were asked who has the best hair, they all immediately thought of Wooseok as a joke hahaaha. Yep, Shine never got a win. I'm pretty sure Pentagon is the only boy group besides BTS who wasn't from a big 3 company with an MV with over 200 million views, it was and still is a big deal. And can't wait till you hear sha la la, favourite title track along with Daisy!

Did you know that Hui's known ex is Soojin from (G)-IDLE? Thought that might be a bit pertinent to the 'most romantic' question in the superlatives video. Anyway... The superlatives game can be confusing, but Hongseok didn't lie. He got promoted to main vocal right about that time! Kino was chosen as "the most fit" because he actually hates exercising and going to the gym (he's been doing it lately, though) It's a bit of a joke, but I'm sure as the main dancer he ain't nothing to joke around in terms of stamina. One of the things I enjoy the most about the superlatives video is how much of an effort everyone's putting into their English ;~; That Daisy performance - so nostalgic and it's only been one year! (They look more or less the same as in the mafia game, remember?) First win!!

I cried so much the first time I watched that interview. So much! (Yanan wasn't there for the world tour or for the release of their first and only full album...) You seem a bit confused about the timeline, btw. I think I heard you say that the interview was one year before Daisy, but it was released just a few days before. Here are the dates: Black and white interview: October 3rd 2020 Daisy MV: October 12th 2020 Pentagon Superlatives: October 16th 2020 First win (for Pentagon, not just Daisy): October 20th 2020

If you're talking about the accusations from earlier this year, no idea; if you're talking about her and Hui, it's true. Cube's statement at the time was something like "Yes, Hui and Soojin were dating, but had already broken up when we looked into it." This was in 2018, btw. There is some coverage of it in kpop websites, like this: https://www.asianjunkie.com/2018/08/02/cube-confirms-pentagons-hui-gi-dles-soojin-used-to-date-says-they-broke-up/ I hope they didn't break up because of fan pressure (this was about the same time the Dawn x Hyuna situation blew up.)

I hate Pentagon maker with passion and one thing that really stuck with me was how Shinwon told them(CUBE) how he has a zoo fobia(he is scared of all animals) due to trauma, and then they made him hang around a bunch of dogs "to face his fear" and he kept apologising and pleading them to take the dogs away

I'm late to the party, so I'm sure that you already know that Shine was a sleeper hit. It didn't rise on the charts until a month after its release. I hated Pentagon Maker. The only reason anyone should watch it is to see how far they've come from the rookies they were to the kings they are now.
