Yes, Chani is the youngest member of SF9 being born in 2000 so he's not super comfortable with more sensual movements and dance styles, they've done some lightly sensual dance moves before but he hasn't had to do it being the center focus and only member on stage at the time so. Also, Song said "Your little brother is really good!" to Chanwoo because Chani and Chanwoo have been very good and super close friends since they were children because they acted together a lot and Chanwoo was born in 1998 so he is older than Chani therefore making Chani his "little brother"~ Also no, the rap line of SF9 added their own rap parts to the song so some of the lyrics in their performance were not the original lyrics from Taemin's song. I would like to add that Dawon was injured/sick so in order to include him in this performance they gave him the opening part sitting in front of the "human tree" and the ending transition of him walking us outside for them to all pose together. Also, when I watched the VOD of the final live stream I just skipped through the extra bits that told me how to vote since I don't need that anyways, idk if it really shaved off a sizable amount of time but it did make things go at least a bit faster. There's also some awkward dead space between comments and performances because it was live but it's only like small pauses not big ones.

So this round I loved EVERYONE's performance but The Boyz's wasn't my favorite. It was great, but it didn't speak to me like all the other performances which I hate saying because I do like them...and I felt like this most of the show towards them and it breaks my heart lol :/ I'm amazed you can rank teams because I gave up after last round. I love them all too much at this point and don't care about rankings.

Moonlight

1) sf9 and btob were my favorite performances from this episode 2) yes, chani is the youngest and he still not entirely comfortable with super sexy performances 3) no, the original version of "move" doesn't have rap and that was added by sf9 and also it doesn't have that dance break 4)the mv for "move" is very low-key sci-fi inspired very blade runner vibe and has rain in it so you got very close to the song vibe in general. sf9 did a great job with that version/remix of the song and their performance was very creative

KpopPrince

I tried! This round was the hardest because they were all good. Agreed that The Boyz was probably my least favorite.

you're probably already filming the last episode but just wanted to say that even I skipped a lot of the episode and only watched the behind the scenes, the performances and the final ranking. There's a lot of awkward live questions and voting appeals that you could probably skip to make things easier

I'm totally ateez biased, but personally, I didn't really gel with the arrangement of answer with ode to joy, particularly at the end with the whole final scene. from a more objective, outsider point of view, I can see how the storyline would be confusing without any prior knowledge. Especially since ateez has a pretty good track record in that area, given that all of their previous performances have a clear story. In that regard, I do understand why they placed lower in ranking. Also, the judges probably don't know what Answer sounds like, so this was probably not the best first impression. I still liked the performance, but it was probably my least favorite out of all of Ateez's performances

nobody's complaining!

yup eric's the maknae

The energy in the boyz performance was soooooo satisfying, my fav kinds of stages! Really enjoyed it, i missed such a stage, the energu was worth seeing live but the dark part was somwhat off

Anonymous

i kinda gave up on ranking long before and just enjoyed the stages

i skipped alot in the next episode, all the voting instructions and the wait before the final announcements

kisa1909

SF9 was my favorite for this round. And then I have an unpopular opinion for this one. The Boyz was my 2nd place. Seems like it was a lot of people's least favorite. Also Q is my bias so the fact you notice him just makes me happy :)

what new said in this round was the mindset i wanted all the participants to have throughout the competition

I think ATEEZ may not have ranked well because their performance was so ATEEZ lore-heavy and the experts and other teams may not have understood or appreciated it fully. I felt like it still should have ranked better just based on overall performance and entertainment value, but other groups picked very popular songs which the experts and other teams probably instinctively connected with more. Limiting the vote to a top 2 instead of 3 also had a big effect. BTW, I like the new format with you in the corner, though the screen you're in could be a tad bigger in relation to the overall picture. I do like that you go full screen when you pause to discuss something. So excited to see your reaction to the finale. To answer your question, they released the finale songs before the finale so people could stream them, and those numbers translated to part of the teams' final totals.

Kris

I get what you are saying with the ATEEZ performance bc I don't know the group or the discography and definitely feel like I could not appreciate all that they were trying to express performance wise. That being said, I did love the song a lot. I don't know the original but loved this kingdom version. Song wise, ATZ was in my top.

Kris

I loved the SF9 performance. at the start of kingdom I was hoping for some restrained performances more artistic like this but quickly realized that's not what we would get lol but this was such a nice treat. I wasn't feeling SF9 on the first round but they climbed in my favorite performances every round. SKZ and SF9 were my top this round but all of the stages were so good.

Kris

Warning, there's going to be a section where they all listen to the released songs in the final episode lol if you want to save hearing the songs for the performances you could skip this whole part.

KPOP Stan Sara

(I said this above in response to you but idk if you go back up through comments)...The first 30 minutes is just chatting. I've skipped most of the chatting but I feel like I should probably watch the whole thing at least one time at some point lol I feel like in between performances is a lot of filler to waste time. I would 100% recommend watching the reactions after BtoB though ^^ you'll have a moment with a member you really like of ATEEZ.

The Boyz Younghoon didn't get injured in practice. In the past he broke his collarbone really badly and he recently had surgery to remove the metal rod in it.

The behind the scenes clips that they play for the final live show in between the performances are understandably longer than usual because you have to take into account that the stages are happening live and they need that behind-the-scenes part to give the crew time to clean up the props from one group's stage and then bring in all the props for the next group's stage, just wanted to point that out since I saw some people online being kinda rude about it lol, its time needed for the crew to pull off the live stages of all 6 groups :') But other than that, you can skip through the voting appeals but I think the rest of it like the conversations/comments between groups are a good thing to watch

Fana Shafeeq

Also Ateez was my favourite performance from this episode and it made me emotional so I was disappointed to see them rank so badly, but also I understand why since the bulk of the performance depended on lore from their storyline, so people who are not familiar with the different scenes or vital characters like the masked man etc would probably not feel connected to the performance, or feel like it was random and meaningless. But like San said, they chose to perform this for the fans as it held so much meaning for the members as it was the last ever song they performed in front of a live Atiny audience, so I'm glad they didn't take the ranking to heart since they did it for the fans

While i also get angry at them spoiling the performances, showing the new songs of the groups is a little bit different because they were a factor in voting and were released before the live show so that you could listen to all six songs and stream your favourite. If you really don't wanna hear those songs, be aware that there is a section where the teams listen to the other songs, so there could be spoilers for you.

The scoring was messed up the whole show. You could tell something had to be going on. MNET are snakes so they were probably manipulating scores to create drama and bring in more real-time viewers. Because if you look at the scoring for this round, iKon more than TRIPLED the score Ateez ended up with. If that’s legitimate, I’ll eat my shoe. Also, those professional judges aren’t unbiased, if you look them up there are connections to companies and groups all over the place. Plus they are human. Of course they’ll have favorites. If they wanted unbiased judges they should’ve had music professionals from other countries or something.
