Hello hello everyone. March is full of big developments for both Queen's Brothel and Barely Working. I'm here to give you guys the rundown for what to expect.

Queen's Brothel - 1.3.0

The first gatekeeping quest. The next quest for Queen's Brothel will be the first side quest that will prevent you from accessing future side quests. It will be based in Hell, with Lilith, and will star a brand new NPC. This quest will have a boss battle with enemies that are much higher level than what you would expect.

The reasoning for creating a gatekeeping quest is no different than what I did with the main story. Each section of the game has had its own side quests and it was your choice whether to do the side quests or to continue the main story. I'm basically doing that again, but this time the main quest story does not exist. It is simply a more difficult side quest that leads into more side quests.

Barely Working - 4.0.0

Barely Working has been completely colored, or will be once the next update drops. We have also changed some of the poses to match the vibe of the previous sketches. The goal is to have Candace try to ignore her colleagues while she is working and have her be horny when "Fuck" mode is enabled.

Barely Working will finally have a Patreon version. We are creating a unique slutty outfit only for paid, Patreon, players. Outfits in Barely Working are special because they actually change what Candace looks like in-game.

We are also starting on the second level for the game. I would like to have future levels and outfits only be available to paid players.

The goal is to start gathering some money to help support the development of Barley Working, the same way we did for Queen's Brothel.

3rd Game?

I don't want to leave you guys out of my thoughts while I'm developing. A year ago I made a plan to make a prequel to Queen's Brothel. The game was about Queen working in a restaurant, having sneaky sex with the customers to earn better tips.

This prequel game required lots of development for me to consider it a worthy game. One idea was to have Queen take off / put on parts of her clothing to change her sex pose. I took that idea and created Barely Working.

The other idea was to have Queen run around the restaurant, avoiding her boss. Going from table to table to satisfy the customers. This idea is much harder to execute properly, but I wanted to let you guys know that I am working on a prototype for a game that is similar to this. It is low priority so I am not spending too much time on it.

4th Game

If Barely Working and the 3rd game prototype do well... then I would be ready to try to mash my ideas back together and try to create the game I wanted to create. A prequel to Queen's Brothel.

This might sound weird, but the goal for the prequel is to create an emotional story. I wanted to try my hardest to make people invested in Queen. A story about a young woman who has her own self doubts, but has to prove to herself that she can do anything she puts her mind to. This is very simplified because I am adamant on the story not being told until it is ready to be told.

While the core elements of the game revolve around sex, the reasonings for why Queen is doing it can be touching. I'd like to leave the player feeling like they read a beautiful story, not a comedy like they would feel after playing Queen's Brothel. (My inspiration for Queen's Brothel was Conker's Bad Fur Day so of course it's extremely goofy)

Hope you guys liked this little status update. I will see you soon, once we finish the Queen's Brothel and Barely Working updates!

Wait so I'm confused because of the way that is worded. The main game, you can do both the story and sidequests so you don't miss any content, right? But this new sidequest will lock you out of accessing future side quests? What's the point of locking the player out of content? I was waiting to play QB all the way through until the final build, but is this implying deciding to do the side content in the game locks you out of the story?

It is the same concept as the main game. You cannot do Esxea's side quest until you unlock Esxea, right? So you are technically "locked out" of doing that quest until you beat the morass boss battle. That is all. I am creating a hard side quest boss battle that you must complete in order to do any new quests going forward. It creates an incentive for the player to keep going, instead of having access to literally every single side quest without any difficulty.

OOOH, okay. So by "locked out" you don't mean that completing said quests will lock you out of doing more quests in the future, more like this new side quest needs completed first as a prerequisite before doing the side quests that come after it. The same as unlocking the corresponding npcs is a prerequisite before doing certain side quests in the main game, which don't lock you out of the story, correct?

Can't wait for the Barely Working update! The restaurant game sounds great as well.

I just finished the last side-quests which were added with version 1.2 and i really enjoyed them. As soon as the colorized version of Barely Working is out i will give it another shot. I tried one of the first versions of it and i couldn't wrap my head around it to be honest, mostly because i was so entangled with Queen's Brothel and the frequent updates :) And i am curious what else you have in store for us in the future dp :)

idk how hard it is to do, but have you thought of putting a retry button, or even a return to main menu button? I think it would be helpful
