OCTOBER UPDATE (Patreon)
Content
Hey folks! Just thought I'd update you all on my progress.
The video that won the $10 patron poll, Anti-Vax: A Measured Response, is coming along! I tried to keep it under 40 minutes but it continuously threatened to balloon in size...and then a journalist who covered the anti-vaccine scare extensively in the early 2000s happened to release a really good book about the topic last month, which pointed us in some really interesting directions. So it's going places, but it's longer (and taking longer to make) than I'd planned.
Additionally, this October 19th is the tenth anniversary of the release of Fallout: New Vegas, one of the best games ever, and I've been working on a video about that game, which also serves as a sort-of sequel to one of the most popular videos on my channel, so that's exciting. I probably won't make the exact date, but I intend for it to be done this month at least, giving me room to finish editing the Anti-Vax video by early November.
Furthermore, my set is being taken down soon. The Hbomb set was built in my mum's garage a few years back, and she's finally moving, so I'm spending all the free time I have writing and shooting as much material as I can before I need to take it down, including footage for december's video: The proper release of the War on Christmas video that's been up for patrons for a year, lol. I'm updating it with a few changes and some new material to differentiate it from the patron version, and keeping an eye on any new developments in the christmas-o-sphere to cover to keep it current.
So, it looks like for once I'm going to get a video out every month for a little while. I think since the Christmas video is already largely done, and the New Vegas video basically makes itself since I've been composing it in my mind-palace for about 4 years, this gives me a lot of leeway to keep up that pace into the next year. I'm gonna aim for every month/month and a half at worst from now on. It's really useful having a producer onboard to help me keep my work in-scope. Thanks Kat!
And thanks to you. Without your support I would definitely have died in the apocalypse already. I can't wait to show you what we've been working on!
Oh and if you're just here to watch me destroy my career: The prequel videos are coming. I'm proud of the scripts in the same way Nero was proud of how nice Rome looked when it was on fire. please send help
