Last 2 episodes! It's been 20 episodes but I can still remember the first two! So many beautiful moments in this drama throughout the season and I am so happy to have seen Rowan flourish in his acting!

Let me know your thoughts on the finale and on the overall series below!

Yay!! I have been waiting for your reaction. I will watch it when I get home. I loved this drama so much! I love that is took tropes and switched them. I love how Jiwoon never had anything negative to say about the fact he though he fell in love with a Man. I love that even when he found out that she was not a man...that instead of feeling relief..he said he would love her either way. Jiwoon Pan confirmed? I love that the mom never cared when she thought he fell in love with a man. She was just worried about there safety. This drama was so beautifully executed. The acting was incredible. The cinematography blew me away. The characters were all so well thought out and necessary. The music was engaging. I really loved it and I think many many years from now this will be known as a classic that will be well loved by everyone of all sexualities and backgrounds for it's beautiful storyline and chemistry

The only thing that really really upset me was the fact that her little brother died.(the one that she was going to give up the throne too) I loved his character. He did not deserve to die. He was so young and he had his whole life ahead of him and it was cut short by greed. Also…I’m not sure if you are aware…or maybe you forgot….but Rowoon’s group SF9 had a wonderful comeback with there song Trauma and it would be awesome if you support him in that way as well and possibly react to it. It is amazing. It is there 10th album and Yoo Taeyang choreographed it. There is chair choreo and everything…the song is a club banger

The singing was from Rowoon himself. the song is called No goodbye in Love. thanks for your reaction.

Oh and re the poison, I kept thinking Rowoon's character was a doctor and an expert in herbs for a reason. It would have been more logical if they showed him working on antidotes but it makes sense he would be the one saving her. btw Rowoon next drama is called Tomorrow it's a fantastic series dealing with the underworld.

What i thinking about is, in that situation, being forgiven and being let to live her live is already a big thing. if she still want to be a queen she need to marry with another royal blood to continue the bloodline so the only way to do that is to marry prince jaeun (hyun) which i'm sure three of them (prince jaeun, dami, and lord jung) don't want that to be happening

Thanks for reacting to this drama. This is actually one of my top favorite dramas from this year. I love most of the characters, and also I love how they did not made any of the second leads (male and female) Like evil or anything Like that. Did not expect hyun to be the king but Loved that twist hehe. The only thing I would have Like to know how dami survive tho lol. The one on the ost where you ask who it is is actually rowoon. And speaking about rowoon he actually have an Up coming fantasy drama next year calle tomorrow

I enjoyed watching this drama with you, Jeff. I gave some thought to the poison, and my thoughts are perhaps something in the medicine she took prior to drinking the tea, that Ji-un had given to her previously, may have caused the poison not to react as intensely for her as it did her grandfather. As well, it could be that the dose of poison in the tea was enough to kill an older, less active man (the grandfather didn't even walk most places!), but had a less harmful effect on an active and younger person. As soon as Prince Jaeun's brother was fatally wounded, and poor Gyeom was already dead, I felt that Jaeun would take the throne. I felt it to be an appropriate ending; that someone who had no design on the throne, who had only ever wanted to help Dam-i, was the one who would succeed her. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and perspective on this drama. I hope you and everyone here has a happy and safe holiday!

This drama I watched because I wanted to see something else while waiting for new uploads. I never really liked period dramas and didn’t feel like it on the first watch but gave it a chance again and fell in love with it right away. I binged watch from ep 01 to 13 cause I thought the episodes would just be till 16. This gave me all the feels that normal kdramas miss out on. Amazing cast and story. I can watch this by myself but it feels good to have somebody watch it with. Thank you for this reaction & can’t wait for the next drama you’ll react to. Happy Holidays Jeff!!!! 💜💚🎄

oh that would make sense that he would have an antidote. i reeeeallly wish they showed him doing that too. oh wait ya i did hear about that drama. will keep an eye out!

jeffavenue

ya the three would definitely not want that lol i can definitely live with how it ended. it was still beautiful :)

could be (re: poison). just wish it was more clear haha. but this drama has never been on the nose and it’s fitting they didn’t explain it (much) 😂

Isabelle reffas

I just watched Rowoon singing the song live on KBS Song Festival. Also there was a great collaboration between TXT and Enhypen performing legendary K-Pop songs ending with Bang Bang Bang and BTS' Fire. It would be great if you reacted to that. Have a great week end.

Thank you for the journey so far. I shall rewatch this drama many more times, with your reaction of course because it just makes the watch even more fun. I’ll look forward to your future reactions 👍

Same but I think it was realistic, the sad truth behind royal families is treachery from within. I also would've liked to see her rule as a female king but that would also be unrealistic. Jeun as king still has the good element of irony that he got the throne without being a traitor like his brother.

Hey Jeff, Happy holidays :) will you be reacting to Snowdrop?

Christine Nguyen

I thought this was a more refreshing period drama. Like how they switched up a bit of the typical period drama archetypes in the characters.

Christine Nguyen

I wasn’t surprised that Jaeun became King. Because there was no way Dami was going to stay King . There is no way the writers would allow an evil character become king

Super late -_- but I also think it was the golden pill she took before having tea with her grandfather that saved her. If you remember when he first gave them to her he told her that those pills were super rare back in the day and were made of dragon tears. She took them a lot during the remainder of the episodes and probably built up a strong enough immune system to the poison she drank. (Just one of my theories lol) yes I wish they touched more on how she had lived thru that lol. But I enjoyed your reaction to this series! Such a good cast! Especially baby roonie lol
