Yayyy!! Ppl are guessing that Amazon&Turns were divided by Mnet in the last second because they were too “in their own league” compared to the other contestants, and so they divided the Avengers members into 2 groups for the suspension and drama aspect! Ppl are assuming this cuz they broke up last second, and Hyerim said they split after talking to the Mnet PDs!

Aiki actually is already in Esteem even before the show because of World of dance, esteem btw is part of Sm Ent and it mostly consists of models so she's in a pretty big company and I think she gets paid pretty good lol she also has a manager. She was on the show "the manager". The others however I'm not really sure of. Ygx is obviously on yg not sure if they have managers tho. On the show "the manager" Both Monika and Lip J came however they came as each other's managers😂. Honey J said in I live alone that she does everything all by herself.

The show’s viewer ratings have been decent. Ep 1 of Street Dance Girls Fighter is 1.9%; Ep 2 is 2.1%. Street Women Fighter started at 0.8% for Ep 1, got viral and went up to 1.9% in Ep 2. Since then it maintained a viewer ratings over 2.5% and hit its peak at 2.9% in Ep 8. I guess people really love the battles. The amount of people rewatching SWF battles on youtube is insane too. FYI: 2% is quite good for a cable channel in that time slot, as Mnet is not a national Tv channel like KBS, SBS and MBC. And this ratings is only TV viewer ratings, not online app/website stream. The online ratings might be much higher.

Missy

Oh, that explains why I saw Aiki in variety shows before SWF. Ah, wish Monika and Lip J join Esteem too. They really suit the fashion industry. And I like Esteem’s boss, such a professional and admirable woman. I learn a lot about how a model company works thanks to Esteem boss’s appearance in Boss in The Mirror.

Hi Jeff!! This is a bit long but I hope you'll take your time reading 🥺🙏 I just want to share this since you were confused why “H” picked Hook and not Lachica. Also as to why Aiki tried to appeal and get “Clue-C” to join with them when it’s clearly not Hook’s style of dancing. Obviously, Aiki will be the mentor in this show and not her whole crew. Maybe you haven't seen Aiki before she made her crew, Hook. Hook is definitely amazing and their main focus is on Hip-hop. But Aiki's main specialty is "Latin Dance and Street Dance Fusion/Combined". Her original group was in a duo named "ALL READY" with her partner Sa Rang. I highly recommend you check out their most popular dance practice video (I’ll link it in the end, it was outstanding!!!) and all performances in The World of Dance. I freaking swear, we never saw this side and dancing of Aiki in the whole SWF. And I’m kinda sad about that. I didn’t know she danced so gracefully and powerfully at the same time before, and in that duo. It was on another level. Plus, Hook is composed of her students. They’re literally the youngest in the whole SWF cast and the members of all crew. Two are only 18 years old. In SWF, whole to half of the member of all crews are choreographers, professional dancers, experienced, well-known, and dancers who competed in huge competitions already. But in Hook, Aiki is the only one on that level. So she did adjust herself to her students’ level and as well as focus more with hip-hop and the trend nowadays. Because she said it herself in one interview that "Latin Dance" is not that famous in Korea (especially before), but when they performed it in America, it was highly recognized and loved. So it had a different response from the audience. Here’s all the link!! 1. Dance Practice (She said in an interview that this particular dance video was the first time a lot of Koreans acknowledged Latin-Street Dance. That's why it became viral at that time. This was 5 years ago. 3mins long) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce7KtujPE0w 2. World of the Dance: (They competed in 2019. In this competition, all participants are just given 1 minute long to perform a routine, so every performance is just really short and straightforward. But after every round they become more and more aggressive.) 1st round - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TpMstpoXpI&t=74s 2nd round - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWgkxF46ccc 3rd round - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcAFTS6CTMs&t=1s I actually hope you can react to all of these in one video, but if you can't, I'll be more than happy to know you've watched all of it 🥰 I just had to drop all of these here since even after watching all of SWF's interviews and variety shows, Aiki never bragged about it. She's always down to earth and she does a great job as a Hook leader. She's patient, always support her members, and always make sure they all shine and not just her. Ah, I love her so much. 💪💖

thanks for this! its good to know how ratings are in SK. and it's true, a lot of people also probably watching online and on streaming websites. would all contribute to the popularity.

jeffavenue

thank u so much for this! great to know the background behind Hook and how Aiki navigates her group. Definitely makes sense with her choice of auditionees and can't wait to see her vision for her teams!

Yesss!! Aiki actually learned Latin Dance, Samba, and Jazz when she was in 1st year highschool, but specifically focused more in Latin. This is where she met Sa Rang. Then after years, Sa Rang came up with the idea of combining the two dance style since no one had ever done it before. But they parted ways after Aiki got married and got pregnant because she had to stop dancing. Then in 2016, Aiki called her again and asked her to dance with her. There, they became a duo named “All Ready” and the first one to execute a Latin-Street Dance Fusion. The Dance Practice I linked above went viral and made everyone appreciate the fusion they created. Plus with their performances in the World of Dance. Nowadays, Aiki is being considerate with her members in Hook and limits herself into hip-hop that's why people tend to think that's all she can do. Also, she mentioned before that Latin Dance is hard to execute without a partner who's also already professional in that style.

Beggar Yuchan

yep esteem seems to be doing a pretty great job with Aiki and their models so I hope they'd at least get some of the girls. It's hard to do everything all by themselves lol. They're pretty much celebrities now they need managers. I actually wonder how many companies are getting them now because there's no way they're not getting anything.

Beggar Yuchan

AAAAA I'm so happy you mentioned this. Tbh if it wasn't for the issue and Sarang was still in hook there's a high possibility that they could win. The ideas of the two are just on another level but it sucks that things happened. It's sad that Aiki had to focus mostly on hip-hop because it is hook's main dance style that people didn't know how versatile she is as a dancer.

I totally agree!! Unfortunately, there was a rumor that Sarang was a bully in school before. She admitted this and wrote an apology letter to everyone. I think Aiki was also shocked to know about this. Because they only met in a Latin Dance Class when they were young but both went to different schools in Highschool and even College. Plus, Aiki is 4 years older than Sarang so she’s more advanced in studies and graduated first. It’s a pity since their chemistry in dancing was really amazing.

Beggar Yuchan

fr, I was also shocked when I saw the first episode of swf and Sarang wasn't there. I only knew about her issue after the first episode was aired. Kinda glad that Aiki wasn't associated with her bullying because I thought she would also be when I heard that they were friends apparently they didn't even knew each other back then, I had a relief lol. Regardless of the bullying issues, Sarang is still a great dancer and I hope that she has changed and is better now.

turns dropped a dance practice for their audition and it's even better than the broadcasted version ! the link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtIOumo_2Cw
