People are ranting on twitter about this fixed group voting system of Mnet because everyone wants Jeup, Donghun, Jay, and Seunghun to debut. But it seems like we can't get that line up because the winners will be chosen based on the highest voted group and not individually.

Feels like Mnet literally made that song FLOWER for Jay to sing LOL The song reminds me so much of OVER ME from BoysPlanet 😳 HunMinJayBit killed that!!! Finally they got the score they deserve 🎉 From my understanding, the reason why other groups chose HunMinJayBit as low tier not because they did worst but because they were saying things like JAY stands out a lot and it's like JAY and others. That's why HunMinJayBit they felt sad. Their line distribution is actually just fine tho. They even gave JAY the least lines for this song. He's just so good that's why. But well that's their opinion 🤷 Their chemistry as a group is still the best for me 👍🙌💯 About KAI comment, the bucket hat was from TEMPO fancam 😍

I also feel like it's kinda unfair that other teams need to practice a full song choreo in addition with practicing their song while other teams can just focus on their singing. I mean, if they'll give some groups with choreo and critic them then it should be for all. Not the groups' fault tho. It's always Mnet 😔

To summarize the bts of HMJB, - Concept is "restrained" sexy, like a black flower (Bit Saeon said exactly the same thing when they first heard the song, thus they felt like they understood how to interpret the song accurately) - Producer liked how the three sang the lines, and for Minseo, he was like, "Have you tried getting drunk before?" to which Minseo responded, "Just once." lol so the producer was asking him to recall that feeling and sing with that - Bit Saeon suggested to do the last part using their natural voices, and Seunghun suggested to add in a rap part to build up the song further And the next scene is just some random PPL, apparently to enhance their sexy image LOL Why the others chose them as low tier: - Haram : Jay doesn't seem to mix well with the others (he just does well at his own part) - Suhwan : It's "Jay and the kids" again - The guy from Water Fire (SORRY) : They're a team but only Jay stands out - Donghun : Bit Saeon is great but Jay overshadows him

I think the judging criteria must have changed for these rounds like you said, because it also felt weird to me that Jay's team last round was 5th but I guess there must have been a reason

I feel this semi final round is a bit weird and unfair. There were only 4 teams left, why not having 2 rounds? The 1st round can be dedicated to new songs but Mnet should only give vocal-centric songs without any difficult choreography to the teams. You want to produce a vocal group after all. Why trying to sabotage most of the groups chances of making to the final? It’s too obvious. Even Milky up could have gotten a fair chance if they give them a ballad song as they have Haram and Seohyung. And for the 2nd round, the teams are free to choose any song they like. If they want to dance or rap, it’s up to them. I think it will be more fair this way. It’s the semi final round after all. It should be better and bigger than the previous rounds.

wait where does it say that the winner will be based on the groups already formed? what im getting from the mnet app voting is it’s “prevoting” so it’s ahead of the finals and then on the finale night, we would vote live for individual members. but maybe it’s wishful thinking. did they already confirm one of these already formed groups would be the winner 😱

Ok so 1st thing I'm going to say is that Mnet is really playing with us and I think this round (AS THE SEMIFINALS) was not fair. First, I agree that the teams with chreography vs the ones without is kinda unfair in terms of hardships. Then, the judging with these past two rounds to me has been so weird in my opnion. But, what I think was really weird and what makes me feel like Mnet was manipulating this round was the song choices. These songs are NOT all on the same playing field. I think for this competition some songs are clearly better than others. So, when they’re just assigned songs by Mnet I thought that was really weird. Maybe at least allow the placement of the teams from last round (1st-4th) to pick their song out of the four. Not just give them it. So, it makes me feel like Mnet wanted Milky-Up gone specifically this round. But maybe I’m just overthinking things… Don’t get me started on the Finale voting and how unclear/confusing it is…

mnet really lost the plot here idk anymore i hope for a better finale episode these latest 2 episodes are just not it for me. i need only power ballad songs in the finale like let’s go back to the original plot pls mnet this is getting unfair. i think showing the highest scores do not actually gauge the average of the scores it just gives drama for mnet to work with. they should’ve kept the highest and lowest score shown for us to properly see the trend of their scores. because the highest scores could be the outlier from the other judges’ scores.

My favorite to least favorite performances would be: 1st- Love Yourself 2nd/3rd- Someday/Flower 4th- You&I Love Yourself- It was perfect in every way. Idk what the judges are on. They’re judging criteria is all over the place tbh. Someday- I actually think Su Hwan in this performance is amazing. I also think the teamwork/harmonies were masterful. My only critique is that they do feel a little stiff on stage and not as immersed into the performance (in their faces not voices). Despite that, I think the way they sing the song though hides my critiques pretty well. Flower- It was amazing. I do think drowning was better, but this was really good to. I think sexy songs like this always have an advantage in these Mnet shows (especially in the semi finals). I think the song itself though sounds like a really good B-side and not really a great competition song. The sexyness distracts you from that though. You&I- Not as good of a song in general as the other songs in this type of competition. I think it’s a good song, but not for the semi finals. I think Soomin not being at his peak did hurt this groups chances a lot to. I do think Geonu did shine and again one of my favorites in this group.

with milky up working as a team for a period of time is kinda difficult cuz soomin, seohyung and geonu are all under companies so those 3 companies need to find a way, make a contract that satisfies 3 sides plus haram himself. and most of the time, i feel like companies in kpop dont like those thing lol. so the best thing milky up can do is just meeting up/ hanging out when they have a break from the tight schedules @.@

might be an unpopular opinion idk but i didn't really like this episode... i thought we're here for the vocals and didn't really understand the need for having such heavy choreo on some songs.. (also really unfair to those groups) the first half felt like literally any other mnet survival show. wasn't really feeling the songs either (although that's of course personal preference) and overall these performances were just not it for me :( i guess it was for the kpop fans but still hoping the finale and the final group is even more on the vocals

I’m a couple behind on your reactions I admit, so if you have already addressed this, apologies. My big frustration with this show is I hate the set up. The point is to get the best 4 person team, but it’s set up to guarantee the 4 best singers CAN’T make up the same team! I don’t get it. Jay and JeUp were both number ones which guaranteed they could not be on a team together as they had to pick their members but couldn’t pick other number 1s. My ideal team is basically JeUps team but with Jay in it. I want JeUp, Bain, Donghun and Jay. Too greedy I guess. I’m voting for Jay’s team though because he’s been my #1 pick since BP and I’m sticking to that 🤷‍♀️.

I first notice a group for their songs, but stay for the group’s chemistry, so I was SO SAD for Milky Up to be eliminated. They truly clicked as a group and they didn’t just seem sad to lose the show - they seemed sad to lose each other. Even though they may remain friends, it will never be the same experience as it was here for them. But I get that it is a vocal competition and in that respect, I think that HunMinJayBit will win.

As for the final voting, I thought that these groups are the set groups all the way to the end. I thought that was the whole concept of the show and the term “Build Up”…they were building up a group starting with pairs, then adding a third member, then having the choice to continue building with the fourth or to start over. Another reason why I loved Milky Up - they were one of the only ones who continued building up the whole time - starting with soomin and geonu and just adding members and growing the team chemistry.

You know what jeff..this show is been unfair since ep 1...I am putting up with mnet just as u..I do not know in what world they thought to make team of 4 by seperating good singers who could be together nd make a great team..Moreover, the voting is team wise not individual wise..im so sorry...i do not like this setup of voting...i want to make a vocally great team...with good balance like jay, seunghun, donghun/jeup and kang hayoon/je up cuz i feel je up/donghun are added it will be overwhelming together..in such line up.. wah...at this point i hope they make 5or 6 member team 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Partners getting a score of 93 is laughable. The score was so unfair and I know a lot of people thought that way too, so I'm glad to hear you thoughts are the same. They really outperformed themselves during this round and that's hard to do given their incredible prior stages. I also don't understand why they wanted teams to include choreo, this is supposed to be a vocal competition. Another thing I don't understand is how Milky Way got a higher score from the judges. I don't know what happening with the scoring system anymore or the judge's criteria.

pretty certain the teams are debuting with the people they have now, which makes sense because 'build up'. This is why Milky Up being eliminated is such a shame for me personally, they had such good chemistry and rly did 'build up' throughout the show. I hope they can debut together in the future but I find it unlikely tbh, companies hate making contracts it seems.

I think the scoring has been one of the most disappointing aspects of the show for me. Going into the show I thought that it would be more objective because votes wouldn't weigh as heavily in the later rounds. However, I almost feel like the audience are doing a better job of picking the best team for each round unfortunately. It just feels like mnet has even more of an influence than ever before, when it is supposed to be the other way round. That's why I'm a bit worried about the finals. It feels like it's really up to mnet who wins at this point. If they're wiling to give such outrageous scores here, then who knows what they'll do in the finals.
