The guy wasn't actually killing those people cause they were working for companies doing that environmental stuff, he was killing them because they were successful versions of himself and he resented them. The environmental stuff became an excuse for him to justify it. That's why he just killed that other dude who looked like a successful version of him even without knowing if he had any connection to the companies on the list.

I agree, It's a very impactful episode filled with good moments and subtle character development. Emily and Hotch is a pretty good pairing because it brings out different sides in their personality. Hotch comes across as very sentimental in this episode. Normally we only see that around his family and not on the field where he is for the most part able to keep that stone-faced leader role. In contrast, we get to see Emily struggle with the idea of lying to a victim even if everyone else around can see that it's not morally wrong in this case. it gives her layers as she carves out her own spot on the team. Im happy to hear that Emily is growing on you. Give her time and you might even love her character (but if you don't, that's okay. She is certainly not perfect and everyone is entitled to their feelings). Reid speaking about addiction and Gideon calling Morgan because he knows how Hotch is going to react (after someone points it out a little) is also nicely done. Great reaction!
