i may not like this storyline but damn katherine's acting breaks me. alex's actor's acting too. it's something that lives in my mind rent free when i reflect on impactful moments of grey's anatomy. like i can't stand izzy as a character or her choices much of the time but this episode and seeing the pain she's in just breaks me. i want to hold her and hug her. it's a testament to katherine's skills for sure!!

Loved the reaction. It's always entertaining to me to hear your suggestions of what could've been improved, many times I agree. For example this time, Denny living and having more buildup to his death, it happening before the wedding or during it would've been brutal, but a much better story. I think it would've been less predictable too since in this ep there was still fear something wrong would go with his health. Honestly during mid season 3 I've completely lost interest in Greys as I've heard it becomes more and more of a soap as seasons go on, but your reactions are so blunt and hilarious I think I might stick around🤣🤣

You have to be invested in the love story with Denny and Izzy to get the impact of this episode. Season 2 with their story in particular is one of my favorites. This show is all about the relationships so you really have to invest in them in order to enjoy it. Hopefully the rest of the series wins you over...I personally love Meredith/Derek and Izzie/Denny. In later seasons Derek's character and Meredith's character get better.

yeah i worry he's going into it thinking it'll be more of a medical drama and therefore gets disappointed. the relationships are the core of the show. if you're not into them or invested in them etc. then the show will be disappointing. it makes me a little sad because the relationships aspect is why i wanted him to watch it so badly, as he likes the relationship dynamics in other dramas. but with grey's i worry he's just going to get more frustrated with it as it goes on. like we said, the relationships are what make the show what it is. that's what i love about grey's - how real the characters feel and how well-written the drama can be. hopefully it isn't too disappointing for him. i keep trying to compare it to OTH or glee in terms of the drama moreso than a show like house or ER. it's a good show, and i love it for many seasons still to come, but if you don't like the relationships or drama, the show will fall flat :(
