A couple of epis ago Haley's mom said that Haley had to be strong for everyone else. Seems like a role that's been placed on her since childhood even though she's the youngest. That's a lot to ask of her. She's also had to be strong for all of Nathan's issues. We've rarely seen her grieve after all she's been through. It's finally catching up to her. It's sad she had to breakdown in secret. I loved this storyline for her! 💕 I agree. Nathan is the best! But for me, Haley's strength, patience, understanding, and guidance and the sacrifices she made for him played a huge role in his character development. So I have to give her a lot of credit for the great guy he became.

Nicely put.... couldn't have said it better myself. Yes, Haley is finally cracking under all the pressure of having to be so strong for everybody else, and now with the tragic passing of her mom, coupled with the fact that she already lost her dad, is beyond heartbreaking. Haley being overwhelmed with grief and despair right now is an understatement. However, we're about to see Joy's immense acting chops shine in a story that's finally reserved just for her. She's not having to play a reactionary role in service of others. It's finally a story arc she can sink her teeth into, and boy does she deliver!!! My heart utterly breaks every time we see Haley break down and cry. And I so agree with you about Nathan and Haley. Yes...we all love Nathan and the man he has become, but none of that would be possible without Haley by his side. She's the sole reason for his immense character growth since the beginning of the show, and we all know who the sole person responsible for that is....so I always love reading others giving Haley her due!!! It's well earned for sure :)
