Hotch is the official leader of the team, and apparently some people in the BAU want his head. If you look back at season 2, Franck, one of the biggest serial killer ever got away, Reid was kidnapped, Morgan was arrested, Elle got arrested and killed someone and now Gideon was suspected for murder. If someone in the BAU is not a fan of Hotch, and now you put all those things together about his team... They could easily say it's his fault and that he's not leading his team the right way. Now the real question is why would some people want Hotch to fall and is Emily gonna help..

hotch is "the boss" so any stepping out of line or bad performance etc reflects back to him as an inability to be a proper leader. he's fairly young for the job and responsibility he has and i wonder if that's why the higher ups seem to have a sharper eye on him and his team.
