Tier Changes Upcoming (Patreon)

I had been talking about this quite a bit via earlier posts and the Discord, so I've decided I'm going to be overhauling my tiers here, starting June! This will mean an adjustment to some of the pricing tiers, but more importantly, there will be a SFW/NSFW split.

This is to accommodate people who want to pledge for things like my YT vids or things like comics without pledging to the NSFW side. Since Patreon had changed their methods for posting since I last tried this, it'll actually be easier for me to manage this way this time. (Since now I can select individual roles instead of "everything above X tier" for post visibility.)

Additionally, as mentioned, I've been wanting to adjust my tiers for a long time, to make them scale a bit more evenly with the perks offered. The jumps between some tiers were steep or uneven, and it's always felt like the pricing wasn't always consistent with the perks offered. Looking at a lot of my peers' pages made me rethink things.

Some quick FAQs

Do I have to pay more / do I have to change my tier?

Current supporters can lock in their current pledge by staying in their current tier. The tier, if it isn't already at the right price point, will become unlisted come June, but will still be supported as usual. So, the $2 "Legacy" supporters will see the same posts as the upcoming $3 tier.

Basically, if you are a current supporter and don't want to change tiers, you don't have to do anything. Just note that if you move out of a legacy tier after June, you won't be able to rejoin it later and will have to join the updated tier.

The $10, $20, and $50 tiers are staying as they are currently, but the $2 and $5 will be adjusting slightly along with the introduction of the new SFW tiers. All of them can be previewed at the bottom of this post.

If you're NOT a current subscriber and were thinking on it, you can also pledge before June to lock in a legacy tier!

What will the SFW tiers see?

On Patreon/Substar, anything that is PG-13 or tamer. The SFW tiers will also get access to the same archive post, so technically they can access the full archive of art, both SFW and NSFW--however, these are sorted into NSFW and SFW categories, so they can opt in to what they want to view.

The SFW tiers primarily will just affect what they see in email notifications and have access to on Patreon. It also defaults to giving you the SFW role in the Discord to hide the NSFW channels, but you may opt to remove this. (the Discord is probably due for a bit of clean-up tbh)

Can the new tiers see old posts?

Due to how posts are categorized on Patreon, people in the new tiers will be unable to view posts from before the roles existed. However, they still will have access to everything in the archive, so they can still see most everything posted here. The ONLY exception I can think of would be outdated WIPs.

If there's something in particular that people really want to see, just send me a message on it and I'll edit its permissions (but doing this for every single post would be a monumental task so I'm going to leave it to case-by-case)

Does this mean minors can finally pledge?

You must still be 18 or older to pledge. I do not want minors on my supporter pages.
