October 2021 News (Patreon)

Hey everyone!
Sorry for the wait on getting started this month! It's been a pretty crazy past few weeks. I got really sick with a stomach bug, managed to submit my manuscript to Pitch Wars, and started my first paid writing gig. I thought initially that October would be the month I could ease back a bit and assess where I'm going with my comics, the Pretty Pony tier etc. but instead October has turned into something of a perfect storm wherein I'm going through a lot of sudden changes due to new jobs, completing The Sword of Souls, Pitch Wars and the new job requiring me to revamp my writing patreon too. I've got some ideas though for what to do in the interim that could be exciting for you guys, so please read on!

PRETTY PONY

On this front, I want to propose something a little different for October through December. I don't have any backlog of ideas or scenarios to draw for the Pretty Pony tier, and I've noticed that a lot of people lately are more engaged with the request streams. I was thinking of having a request stream for Pretty Ponies and up where I do coloured waist-ups with decorative elements in order to practice a different colouring style and give you an opportunity to get something more than a sketch. These would till be rough, but coloured with areas of refinement to them. Pretty Ponies could apply for the request, but everyone could come to the stream to watch. This would give me some time both to practice a different colouring style and assess the direction of the Patreon now that my comics have converged and the tiers might need revamping again. Do you like this idea? If not, do you have a suggestion for what to do now that The Sword of Souls is complete?

CINDERFROST

I will also be running out of Cinderfrost thumbnails, so next month the comic will pause so I can create a backlog of thumbs again. In its place, there will be more request streams.

REQUEST STREAMS

Since it's Halloween, feel free to make your request a themed one! Whether that be through a costume idea or some autumnal decorative themes (autumn leaves, jack-o-lanterns etc.) 

Without further ado, here are the stream dates I'm planning for this month:

• Tuesday the 12th @2PM - Cinderfrost Page
• Monday the 18th @8PM - Regular Request Stream
• Thursday the 28th @8PM - Pretty Pony Request Stream

Last thing, I'll be posting the sketches from last month's request stream shortly! After getting sick I really lost track of time. Those will be up later today.
