Just a thought, but maybe you could treat Patreon more like 'Just youtube for your biggest fans that are willing to pay more for additional content'? This would allow you to promote it and build it up more without fear of trolls unavoidably eventually joining (especially as your Patreons grow in number. Just imagine if you had 5000+ patreons at some point). Then, create a private group on some other social media platform and invite people that are truly real verified friends. This could be the space where you share more personal thoughts, vent frustrations, ask for advice/opinions, etc.

Just a heads up on a potential issue with the new internet service you're considering - I have a friend who has the SIM card that searches out the strongest signal, and the problem is that it *always* searches. If you're in a spot where signals overlap, the card had a habit of switching between them, which causes internet to drop briefly every five to twenty minutes. He was having trouble with anything that required a steady connection (filling out forms, and the like). Could be that technology has improved, so it's good you'd be vetting them first, just something to watch out for.
